Enya says
"I particularly enjoyed our percussion arrangement in this song".
"I always wanted to do a Christmas album but as we began recording I didn't feel it was right to impose a Christmas theme on certain songs."
When the evening falls and the daylight is fading,
From within me calls - could it be I am sleeping?
For a moment I stray, then it holds me completely.
Close to home - I cannot say.
Close to home feeling so far away.
As I walk there before me a shadow
From another world, where no other can follow.
Carry me to my own, to where I can cross over...
Close to home - I cannot say.
Close to home feeling so far away.
Forever searching; never right,
I am lost in oceans of night.
Forever hoping I can find memories.
Those memories I left behind.
Even though I leave will I go on believing
That this time is real - am I lost in this feeling?
Like a child passing through, never knowing the reason.
I am home - I know the way.
I am home - feeling oh, so far away.
Enya got a grooming this evening at Petsmart. I do like Petsmart, better than Petco. Anyhow, when I picked her up, she tried to jump up into the back of my Escape per usual. Her back feet got up on the bumper, and her front feet were still on the bumper. So she fell over backwards and landed on her back right at her tail. Poor thing. :(
She tried it again after a moment of collecting herself, this time with a more planned approach. Same thing happened. I had to pick her up to get her in the car. I think the van may be the default doggy transport hereafter, as it has a much lower entryway.
She didn't appear to be in pain, and wasn't whining. Nothing felt out of socket or broken. She may be bruised. She was struggling all event to get up, like her back legs weren't working. However, it seems to be getting better--she's actually gotten up and wandered to the water bowl (Angela hand-fed her dinner, but it's hard to hand-water...). We'll check in the morning, but I'm pretty sure her hips are only a bit bruised, not to mention her pride...
So I got my birthday gift a week ahead; a 6'X4'softbox for AlienBees. I had to give it a quick and dirty test. The AlienBess is behind the subject, inches away so the light wrap around the subject edges. The light hitting the front is only bounced from the walls
Commission for a friend. This is an Iplehouse Freezia. He wanted her very Irish! She's adorable...she has sculpted teeth as well.
She got surgery last Monday to remove her tonsils. She is confined home for 10 to 12 days. Today, we decided to go play outside a bit.
