Prior to this photo I had performed a few necropsies with the help of my boss but not solo. This opportunity to do it myself came about on my birthday when no one was available to get to the beach so I stepped up to the plate and took the honors. It took me quite a while but I dissected the turtle and filled out the necropsy sheet all by myself. It was definitely a great learning experience!
