The back of my final outcome for this project.

Made of 98% paper & some coating :D

Pretty cool but can't leave em in your drinks for too long...the uncoated parts swell.

These images represent my concerns regarding the present quality of our water systems.... questioning how the inhabitants living within these waters are affected.

Our Great Lakes are a privilege the rest of the world can only hope to aspire to ....leaving us with the huge responsibility to ensure our grandkids are able to access this gift.

Will we start paying attention before it's too late?

I took this in Anaheim at the Convention Center where I went to the N.A.E.Y.C. national conference. This is the acronym for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This image shows the environment of the galaxy system ZS7 from the JWST PRIMER programme (PI: J. Dunlop) as seen by Webb's NIRCam instrument.New research using the NIRSpec instrument on the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope has determined the system to be evidence of an ongoing merger of two galaxies and their massive black holes when the Universe was only 740 million years old. This marks the most distant detection of a black hole merger ever obtained and the first time that this phenomenon has been detected so early in the Universe. The team has found evidence for very dense gas with fast motions in the vicinity of the black hole, as well as hot and highly ionised gas illuminated by the energetic radiation typically produced by black holes in their accretion episodes. Webb also allowed the team to spatially separate the two black holes and determined that one of the two black holes has a mass that is 50 million times the mass of the Sun. The mass of the other black hole is likely similar, although it is harder to measure because this second black hole is buried in dense gas. [Image description: This image features the ZS7 galaxy system, showing a large field of hundreds of galaxies on the black background of space.]

Bird ringing in Belarus' lowland bogs helps monitor bird migration, providing crucial data on species distribution, population health, and ecosystem changes. This information guides conservation efforts to maintain these habitats. Initiatives like mechanical mowing and reintroducing wild herbivores aim to restore and preserve these vital environments. Effective conservation is key to supporting migratory bird populations and sustaining biodiversity.
