This was the view from the top of the mountains at Glendalough. It was really amazing to see how these pines had a really pixellated look to them, and after a few seconds of looking at them, I began wondering if something was wrong with my eyes!

By watching him this weekend I can tell his first flight is coming soon. Every time his momma leaves the tree, baby hangs his head, then 1/2 his body out of his doorway, calling hard for momma... He's doing it right now as I type this. He wants out of the house so badly... I know he's gonna stretch those baby wings soon. Such a miracle to see my backyard Flickers raising the little ones.. I know there are least two babies inside this tree...
Relax.
It was misty, cloudy and cool
all morning.
We were looking
at all of the natural beauty
we could feast our eyes upon.
Our souls were becoming
refreshed and rejuvenated.
Slowing down to enjoy
time together.
relax.
We talked,
Stared at each other
visited even more.
Grew closer again.
relaxed.

This little guy had a really loud voice and a body that absolutely didn't match the sound! It was maddening to hear their sound and then squint into the wilderness and not be able to spot the source of the sound!
