Buona giornata

Maybe I should have taken the yeooow tone a bit down, but the soft golden light from all the golden ornaments and decoreations is allowed to dominate the scene as I felt it.

If you go back to the Greeks and Romans,

they talk about all three - wine, food, and art - as a way of enhancing life.

Canterbury Shaker Village - Wild Iris

05/28/2024

Canon 5D Mark ii with Canon 24-105mm F4L IS USM

Historic Canterbury Shaker Village is one of my favorite haunts. While some come to tour the historic buildings and to learn of the Shaker culture, I enjoy the simplicity of the grounds and the opportunities to pursue captures of images for both wildlife and landscape photography.

Iris is one of my favorite flowers and imagine my surprise to seeing them growing wild beside the pond.

Hope you enjoy!

Great night time views along the Seward Highway. Anchorage, Alaska. The city lights of Anchorage are glowing above the mountains

I've been a big fan of this kinetic stripe for a year or two. When shooting with other lightpainters, it's always good to come back with something different. I could have just settled for this shot with lasers and smoke but it seemed appropriate to add a kinetic stripe of light. I've done enough of these to nail them first time...

It says "enhanced" in the title but this shot was created in once exposure with no Photoshop or any of that AI nonsense.

INSTRUCTIONS

Every respected master mage has, at one time or another, spent hours studying dusty old grimoires in an attempt to decode the spells. This is not an easy task. Not only is it long and tedious, but it is also not something that everyone can do, and it is for sure a limiting factor in becoming a well-known mage.

The solution is quite simple: to become one of these grimoires and gain all the knowledge directly, without having to study or suffer from memory lapses in the middle of battle.

Ever since I had finished building the Book Mage for Book Mage contest, I knew I had to do a proper version of it because it was made using 101 parts.

As I'm going to the convention Fanabriques this October and I couldn't pass the opportunity to redesign it, make it stable, stronger and good looking from the back

And as I got many requests for instructions, I decided to design the instructions along with some personalization.

The instructions for this Book Mage are on Rebrickable costing 3,5€ as it took more than 100h of designing, shooting, editing and writing. It contains 188 parts for a price of around €15 in parts.

INSTRUCTIONS

Other than that, I feel this one looks so much better than the "old" one. To be completely honest, now that I see the old one, it looks kinda bad and the proportions aren't good.

It's my first time making instructions for Rebrickable and seeing the time it takes, I certainly won't publish a lot more instructions in the future, I'll concentrate on making mocs. Don't get me wrong, it was very fun to do.

Hope you like it :)

The book, not the book mage, is inspirated by @naolito on Instagram

Just messing around with one of those new fangled camera apps that lets you add some fun to the picture after the fact....and then threw some tonal music underneath cause it seemed like it needed it :)
