The English Garden (Englischer Garten) is absolutely wonderful and quite an oasis inside Munich. And, amazingly, you can even surf within this oasis! This spot is known as the E2 Wave (Dianabadschwelle) and it provides very good entertainment for both surfers and watchers - and on this Sunday afternoon there were quite a few surfers but many more watchers :)
I know absolutely nothing about bugs essentially because I cannot bring myself to look at them too closely. However, I don't think that's a bee in this shot. Regardless, I was able to catch it taking a moment to stop and smell the roses :)

The Eisbach river is better known for its surfable wave, but my eyes were drawn to the way the light bathed this rocky "island", especially those red leaves...

Munich. Englischer Garten
Small (16 m high), round, Greek style temple designed by Leo von Klenze. It was built on a 15 m high foundation, around which a small hill was created in 1832, using leftover building material from the Munich Residenz (Royal Residence). Hill and temple were completed in 1836. Ten Ionic columns support a shallow copper covered dome; palmettes adorn the sima. A particular feature of the Monopteros is the use of polychrome stone painting. (from Wikipedia)

Water is diverted off the Isar and channeled into the Englischer Garten, where it is further split into multiple channels. This is near where it enters the park.
At first, I was wondering why there were so many people at the English Garden on a Monday - then I realised it was Whit Monday (Pentecost).
