Three years into the four year engineering works and track replacement seems to have reached Montreuil, piles of new sleepers in the yard and an engineering train; V212K and V212L are ex-Deustche Bahn locos now in yellow and operated by Meccoli, they date from the early 1960s. The view from the walk around the ramparts of the old town.
was on my way to work this morning, i noticed this couple building their house ...
the place seemed to me little risky, if the water goes high...but what do i know?! They know better...
the shot is simple, i didn't like to disturb them and get closer...but i was wondering what are those genes telling these animals what to build how to build where to build??? I was amazed by the ability of the swan picking up reed and trying to cut others ...nature is amazing!
Here is a spring shot of the Engineering Building on the BYU campus.

Its been a while since the track was replaced on this secton at Bitton, recent engineering works having been taken place on the nearby bridge, 28/3/21.

It was hard to decide which to enter the contest with, but I went with this shot instead.
I hope this one shot explains why I haven't been around for a while.
You know the busiest one can be, yeah take that and multiply it by 10, that's how busy I am now, I just had to upload something because I feel that there is something missing in me when I don't photograph.
I honestly miss photographing so much, and miss you guys, wish me luck. =)
View of the full-size Rosetta engineering model (EQM) at ESOC, Darmstadt.
Rosetta is en route to Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, where it will make the most detailed study of a comet ever attempted. It will follow the comet on its journey through the inner Solar System, measuring the increase in activity as the icy surface is warmed up by the Sun. The lander will focus on the composition and structure of the comet nucleus material. It will also drill more than 20cm into the subsurface to collect samples for inspection by the lander’s onboard laboratory.

Was lucky enough to visit the McLaren showroom for a second time! Lovely red spider was the feature car!

But No Replacement Bus Service !!
During the week I was in Scarborough , the Central Cliff Lift ( Tramway ) was closed because of work on the tracks .
Regrettably I had to walk up the adjacent stairs . It took me over 15 minutes , and two squirts of my Angina spray .
Scarborough , North Yorkshire .

47343 runs round a class 9 engineering train at Aintree Sefton Junction on Sunday 24th April 1983.
Aintree container base is on the left and the there were still a few gantries left, with signals for differing routes long removed since the area's busier days.
It would appear as though the train is heading back to either Fazakerley PW depot or the Ormskirk line, having arrived from either one if those locations.
The Toton based loco was withdrawn in June 1992 after suffering collision damage when it ran away at Hazel Grove.
Taken at about 5.15pm, this is actually a sunset. Once again D80 in my backpack proves worthy. I was going to attend a lecture, when I simulated this composition in my mind and couldn't resist taking this shot.
* Looks superb in black background.
THANK YOU for the appreciation, this picture got into Flickr Interestingness on March 2, 2007 :)
Stabled facing Cleveleys on the little spur off the Little Bispham turning circle is Blackpool Transports Engineering car 753, which was converted from Blackpool Standard car No 143 in 1958, this little spur which was literally only the length of a tram has since been lifted.

River Dargle Flood Defence Scheme.
These images were taken during the fourth week of September, 2016.
On a rare trip down to the Harbour area, just to check out progress here. Throughout the summer, this is where the heavy-duty engineering works have been taking place.
This is a section of the flood protection scheme that I have pretty much ignored -- it's inconvenient for me to access, and others cover it much better.
Check out 'Turgidson'.
Walking back along the newly constructed walkway adjacent to Seapoint Court, and looking upriver towards the town of Bray with the 'Fran O'Toole bridge' in immediate view.
Bray: Fran O’Toole Bridge:
On 31 July 1975, five members of the Miami Showband were travelling by minibus back to Dublin from a gig in Banbridge, County Down.
At the townland of Buskhill, outside of Newry, they were stopped at a bogus military checkpoint by gunmen dressed in British Army uniform, who ordered them to get out and line up by the roadside.
They were members of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF). Two of them had hidden a time bomb on the minibus, but it exploded prematurely and killed them.
The remaining gunmen then opened fire on the band members, killing Fran O'Toole, Brian McCoy and Tony Geraghty and wounding Des Lee and Stephen Travers.
On Saturday 4 July, Bray Bridge was renamed the Fran O'Toole Bridge.

Bray Bridge, Main Street, Bray, County Wicklow :
Three-arch stone built road bridge over the Dargle or Bray River, built in 1855-56. The bridge is in dressed granite, with round-ended piers rising into panelled pilasters and a string course just above the level of the arches.
The arches themselves are segmental, whilst the parapets have rounded coping. Branching off to the north-east of the bridge a smaller single-arch dry bridge, carrying the Ravenswell Road over a grass-covered laneway which leads down to the riverbank itself.
This smaller bridge is in granite rubble with a segmental arch with dressed granite voussoirs, and rounded coping to the parapets.

A four-arch Bray Bridge was constructed in 1666, but this collapsed in 1741 and was replaced by a new bridge within the same year.
The 1741 bridge was replaced in 1856 by a new three-arch bridge designed by Mr Henry Brett.
The bridge was built by David Edge, and it bore his name.
The bridge was renamed on 5th July 2015 in honour of Bray resident Fran O'Toole, who was the lead singer with the Miami showband.
Three members of the showband were killed outside Newry in 1976, including Fran O'Toole.
The Railway Bridge downstream was built in 1853, a year prior to the opening of the railway between Dublin and Bray.
The railway company had to narrow the channel of the river and build a small shipping dock.
Between Bray Bridge and the Railway Bridge there was a wooden footbridge linking Ravenswell Road and the Seapoint Road, this bridge was built at the time of the railway coming to Bray.
It closed in 1870 and was removed shortly afterwards.

Some photos while waiting around on set filming this week. Took up the opportunity to play with my Sony RX100 M3. Very pleased with this little camera. I also had my Canon 7D with me and the Sony holds up very well when comparing similar images taken with each camera.
These pictures were taken with my brand new Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 wide angle lens and I was just having some fun. The location for these pics is the University of Illinois, particularly the Main and Engineering Quad.
