The U.S. Marshals Service, in collaboration with partner federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, conducted enforcement operations in Dayton, Ohio, during Operation North Star FY2024, a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative that began on May 10 and concluded on September 13, 2024. ONS FY2024 targeted fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants for serious crimes, including homicide, forcible sexual assault, robbery, and firearms-related charges. These cities included: Dallas, Texas; Charleston, South Carolina; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Little Rock, Arkansas; Phoenix, Arizona; St. Louis, Missouri (including East St. Louis, Illinois); Birmingham, Alabama; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Dayton, Ohio; and San Antonio, Texas.
