Despite the forecast, live like it's spring.

The weather report calls for a bit of snow tonight and tomorrow, but I'm not going to believe it. After all, I found these tiny crocuses today, and it was sunny! These are the first I've found and many more are to come very soon :)

I have to be off Flickr again for several days so will see you when I return.

I won't be the first

It's all right and all wrong

For me it begins at the end of the road

We come and go...

A little rural scene at the "end of the road"...maybe nearing the literal end of the road as so many small farms are these days.

Thank (in advance) to you all, very much my friends!

Shortly before he almost disappeared I caught the rainbow between the two cornfields and a few minutes later he reappeared as a double rainbow in all its glory.

Returning to pavement, I continued up CA-168 until I could go no further given road closures.

Sooner or later you'll run out of gas or reach the end of the road. Drive carefully!

My first attempt at using the SB800 off camera ... after struggling to get it to work, I finally found this great youtube video ( by some 12 year old !!! lol ) showing me how to use it :)))))

It took so many shots to get a reasonable one :) and of course the trial had to be with the gerbera ... beautiful even at the end ..

Here she is before

I took a drive to Ungava Bay today. I needed to change my ideas and recharge my batteries after a particularly tough run at work over the past couple of months. Deep breaths, reconnecting with the land, being alone in nature (with Flea, of course) and the sound of absolute silence definitely worked as I had hoped. It was cold out there though. Winter is coming.

In the middle of nowhere in the northern highlands of Scotland the road finished and at the dead and this boat lied on the beach. It looked like it has been rarely used.

...and the End of the tunnel it is light ......... hopefully

Oh look, Day 365! Who'd have thought it...

Apologies for posting it a month late...

I managed to take a photo every day for a fricking year, but then it takes me a whole month to post the last photo? Oh luls...

Do I gots to be all serious now and write thanks and stuff, and talk about what a journey it's been?

I probably should...because it's true... but...GAH, I just hate cliches...

Oh well....Here goes:

I started the year with nothing but a point and shoot camera and a passion for pressing the shutter, and ended it with an SLR, about 4 lenses, 3 broken tripods, a new super awesome mega cool tripod, at least 365 new photos, a ton of new photography friends and an even bigger passion.

I think the most important lesson I took from this year is "I Can".

Can I stay up all night , only to be disappointed by the lack of sunrise? I can.

Can I build a bed out of scrap wood? I can!

Can I stand in a lake wearing nothing but a coat and take photos of myself in front of people I don't know? Yes, I can...

Can I stand in exactly the same spot for an hour straight? Yup, I can.

Can I repeatedly and thoroughly abuse my hair for photoness? I can!! (Too many photos to link)

Can I be on the front cover of a magazine? Turns out I can!

Can I earn money from doing what I love? By golly, I can!

Thankyou to every one of you who has viewed and commented and favourited and messaged, and joined my Facebook or my Tumblr or even just stalked me from afar. I wouldn't have completed this project if it wasn't for all your support. For realz...

Was that cliche and lovey dovey enough? GOOD! :)

Anyways, I'm not planning on disappearing, I'm gonna makes a video and do a printy givey. Oh yarrr..

The end of every road is the beginning of another
