Thanks to Self-Help International, my village has been able to mechanize our palm oil processing. What used to take us 2 days, now takes a half a day! We knew about this machinery, but couldn't afford it until Self-Help offered us microloans, since local banks wouldn't work with poor women without collateral like us. But now, we are all better off! Self-Help helped us start a school feeding program so our kids are better nourished, helped us increase production and income, and is walking alongside us on our journey to self-sufficiency.
