The pink Hydrangea bush in my garden is still beautiful in autumn, even though its late-blooms take on a burnished beauty.
"I loved autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it." ~ Lee Maynard
When the NORWEGIAN ENCORE departed from Bremerhaven, I was on a small boat to shoot some pics. Therefore, this night shot isn’t that sharp, since it didn’t make much sense to work with a tripod on a moving ship with a lot of vibrations caused by the engine. In this case, it was more important for me to capture the atmosphere rather than a technically perfect photo.
"The mind can go in a thousand directions, but on this beautiful path, I walk in peace. With each step, the wind blows. With each step, a flower blooms."

Every time I see the beauty of Daylillies, I wish they would bloom once again. It is easy to get lost in their charms.

My "Encore" icicle the next day, on its last leg with the warming temps. Seconds before, the left section melted and fell, leaving a trail of water. Moments later, the bigger section here melted and...piece by piece...dropped away.

As I've said before, I drive past Mount Shasta fairly often, and have taken quite a few pictures of it. Most of the time I just drive on by, but once in awhile I just have to stop. (she's got to impress me these days with a "special" look before I'll take her picture) This day the clouds were moving and most of the peak was obscured from sight by the clouds. I was liking the clouds, but wanted them to clear from the peak a little. I decided to park, take a 30 minute break and hopefully get lucky and get more of a peek. Kinda glad I waited.
