Today's story and sketch "by me" I have traveled the thirteen and a half miles from the man cave to Encinitas on my anti gravity, zero point energy hover board, which I hope to feature in a forthcoming exciting story featuring myself riding it, without the arm cast and head bandages I have had to wear sense I was involved in a head on collision with a herd of 300 wild Nubian Combat Goats that escaped from camp Pendleton, which will have to be a story for another time. The reason I have traveled to Encinitas is to meet up with Rescue Randy in the glider accompanied by two nurses from the special clinic, (The Funny Farm Inn for the occasionally confused), they specializes in helping living tissue Voodoo's, like the young voodoo with the funny hat, and bow and arrows on the corner, Cupido Caco. Cupido escaped from the clinic three months ago and opened the (Eros Speed Dating Club). Cupido has come to the attention of the better business bureau, and the Sheriff's Department, (above you will notice JB swooping down in a Sheriff's chopper), Cupido is in trouble because of his unique way of attracting business, he shoots potential customers with love potion tipped arrows with embossed in gold lettering, (Eros Speed Dating Club Moonlight Beach Tonight). Cupido was enjoying his life away from the clinic, and life was good until he shot an arrow into the wife of the Ambassador from the Planet Phelopia while she was having her photo taken with the Cardiff Kook. The ambassador you see under the Encinitas Arch is still very upset, and looking for his wife, she ran off with the pool boy from Swami's, which will have to be a story for another time, until then taa ta the Rod Blog.
Low tide and winter tides are continually exposing various tidal rocks to add a bit of foreground to beach. Heavy clouds nearly obscured the sunset but a small window allowed a bit of light to find its way through.

The streets of Downtown Encinitas are rockin' and rollin' when Encinitas Cruise Nights roll into town! The third Thursday of each summer month, from May through September, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, hot rods, foreign automobiles, classic cars and Woodies will line S. Coast Highway 101 from D Street to K Street. Classic cars will be parked along the Hwy 101 and on side streets, and live music can be heard on various stages at the event! The event is open and free to the public. Every car in attendance is eligible for awards and there is no cost for displaying or viewing the cars. Come early for the best parking spots because parking is limited, and dine at one of the many fantastic restaurants in Downtown Encinitas before the event "shifts into high gear."
