These towers are 40 miles from my location and the image was taken from my bedroom window.

The two towers at Emley Moor which are just over 40 miles from my home where I took this image.

The main tower stands 329 metres tall, the thinner tower is temporary while maintenance is being carried out, this stands at 317 metres although it looks taller, it’s closer to me.

The turbines are just a few miles from me.

This is the clearest view I have had

We’ve been up here before but not on such a clear day. I wasn’t aware that it was possible to see three of the reservoirs which have featured in my recent photos together in one shot. Working from right to left the first and largest is Baitings Reservoir, a little further down the valley across to the left is Ryburn Reservoir, lastly over to the far left of the photo near to the top, you can make out a thin lighter coloured line in the green landscape, this is Ringstone Edge Reservoir. On the skyline above Ringstone it’s possible to just make out Emley Moor TV Mast.

The two radio masts on Pole Moor are again visible in this picture. I’m stood on Great Manshead Hill on Soyland Moor, on the right behind Baitings Reservoir is Rishworth Moor and Pike End.

Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

Taken today through the trees in a graveyard. What isnt very clear is that there is a second mast running in the middle of the main one, if you zoom in you can see the stabiliser ropes and the second mast!

I approached the litter bin as it pressed itself against the wall cowering , not knowing it fate. "Please please" it shouted, "I cant take it anymore, no more McDonalds " it pleaded.

I placed a sweet wrapper in it and left silently ...

I’m aiming to take a photo a day. I’ve missed the odd day or two (this work thing keeps getting in the way...) Here’s a photo taken around the corner from where I live, Emley Moor TV mast on the skyline.

Built in 1971, the Emley Moor mast is the tallest free-standing building in the whole of the UK.

I’ve thoroughly enjoying watching the Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm over the last few weeks, it’s made me have a new respect for farmers.

It was good to see all the tractors at work this evening as I was out walking the pooch. So, hats off to all farmers out there-hope the weather stays in your favour. Thank you.

I love far reaching views, this is local to me so go quite often and its always pretty quiet.

To the right is Denby dale, towards the middle is Upper cumberworth and just about where the sun is setting is Birds Edge.

Had a spot of snow this morning. Not that much but no doubt it’s causing much disruption!

Taken in 2013 but only just edited. This plantation is right next to the Emley Moor tv transmitting station on Jagger Lane Emly, near Huddersfield. I was on my way to an early meeting in Jan.

The 180' long, 20 arch viaduct, is still in the fields at Flockton. The 3'9" gauge mineral line was built in 1772 to connect Lane End Colliery with the wharves on the Calder and Hebble canal. The Emley Moor mast dominates the landscape.
