I don't think anyone now really understands the planetisation of mankind, really understands the new world order emerging through all this period of strain and pain and contradiction, so more than ever, we need to have an internal sense of navigation. William Irwin Thompson

happy monday!

Self portrait. Blended two photos together to create this. The self portrait and the ‘room’ which is a three sided room I made out of plywood and then painted. It’s maybe two feet long and maybe a foot tall.

I thought the leaves provided an interesting pattern.

With all of the rain we have had this Spring the yard is lush and green. The Tiger Lilies are reaching for the sky as each layer of leaves is added. I find it interesting how the top center of the plant sprouts each new layer like floors of a new office tower building being constructed.

As the Spring melt begins this little creek is carving a channel from beneath the snow that has covered it all Winter. Lovely to listen to it work!

Happy Wednesday Peeps! Hope you are all well. And hope you're not getting sick of all my flowers! I am dying to get out shooting some Spring blooms - will have to wait a while though - everything is still frosty!

I used two Florabella textures here - from Set 1:

With this latest round of "explore" quite alot of people have added me as a contact. This is fine, and for those new to my photostream, I very much appreciate your interest in my work and I'd like to encourage you to take time to read my profile page if you have not already done so. Briefly, in general, I will do my best to reciprocate visits but there are a few exceptions. I will not visit and comment on your photostream if your photostream contains dubious, restricted, or adult content (ie, labeled by Flickr as moderate or restricted). Sometimes, I have come across photostreams of individuals who have thousands of faves but no photographs of their own. In these kinds of cases, I'm sorry, I cannot reciprocate/comment.

The emerging leaves on our Japanese Maple tree. These beautiful red leaves are always an interest to my camera!

Another highlight on our road trip along the Oregon Coast Highway was the Heceta Head Lighthouse, which sits very photogenically on a bluff. Unfortunately, it took some patience until it finally emerged from the coastal fog.

The Great Langdale Valley and village of Elterwater was shrouded in mist and cloud for much of the morning. I took this as the atmospheric conditions began to lift from my lofty perch high up on Loughrigg Fell.
