Yoho National Park, Canada

Emerald river dance

with such velvety grace

to the rhythm of the Earth

And every beat reveals

magic pathways of light

where each seeker finds rebirth

The sun to the bleating absence of sound

And you will hear what is

Found this old shot from a good few years ago! And a very very old camera too!

This is the aptly-named Emerald Lake in Yoho national park in British Columbia in Canada. It really is that green too!

Emerald Lake is in the Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada. It is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Its emerald color of water is incredible. (edited with Lightroom and Topaz)

A beautiful green hue truly reflects this lake’s name. The colour gets very intense in the summer, and Mount Burgess complements the backdrop. What a perfect scenario it is to visit the Cilantro restaurant located across the bridge and enjoy a drink while taking in views of the lake. Emerald Lake is the largest lake in Yoho National Park, BC, maybe 20 minutes of Lake Louise. This is a different shot, from a different angle, and I love it, hope you do too.

Enjoy it!

Thanks for your visits and comments. As always, appreciated very much!

“Emerald Eyes”. One usually doesn’t think of the Double Crested Cormorant as a beautiful animal, but in the world of birds these emerald green eyes are hard to beat. There are few other animals that have such eyes. This image of of a female is preening at sunset. The sun hitting the eyes brings out the sparkling gems.

Wikipedia: Papilio palinurus, the emerald swallowtail, emerald peacock, or green-banded peacock, is a butterfly of the genus Papilio of the family Papilionidae. It is native to Southeast Asia, but is regularly kept in butterfly houses around the world.

The iridescent green sheen of the bands of this butterfly is not produced by pigments, but is structural coloration produced by the microstructure of the wing scales. They refract the light and give rise to blue and yellow visible reflections, producing the perception of green color when additively mixed.

We got to the polygonal lakes. They are called polygonal because of the peculiarity of the bottom soil, which forms geometrically regular polygons during freezing. It was raining as usual. The color of the water was simply mesmerizing, so I ran around these lakes and took pictures, despite the slight inconvenience of rain

Emerald Lake is in Yoho National Park, British Columbia. It snowed at night. The lake and mountains were covered with snow, so pure and fresh. No people around the lake in the early morning. Regretted arriving a bit late, missed the blue hour. The light from the lodge was not so strong, but still attracted the eyes in the early morning's first light.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers! 💕

The metallic-green Emerald damselfly can be seen from June to September around ponds, lakes, ditches and canals. Unlike other damselflies, it holds its wings half-open when perched.

The Emerald damselfly is a medium-sized damselfly that lives among lush vegetation around the edges of ponds, lakes, ditches and canals. When perched, Emerald damselflies have a habit of holding their wings half-open, rather than closed along the length of their body like other damselflies. The last species of damselfly to emerge in the UK each year, they are on the wing from the end of June to September.
