This final collection of one off specimens will be gone forever and, once captured by another collector will be as dead as her taxidermied Dodo.
The above photo is a sketch of the embryo of a chicken after twenty-four hours. The little circles running along the skinny part of the embryo are called somites. The purpose of somites is to divide the body in half. There is not much development in the embryo after twenty-four hours.
