Silk embroidery and powdered gold on silk satin
The embroidery of the egret comes to life when reflecting the light. Smoothly parallel horizontal strands of white silk anchored with shorter detail stitches constitute the body, while the wings are rendered with long satin stitches that follow the direction of the feathers.

Hand printing is an art that began in Gujarat but spread to its neighbor, Rajasthan. But everything about Rajasthan cotton cushion covers: their bold and dazzling contrasts of color, the images and the processes that fashion these, speak of the individuality of states craftsmanship.
This bag was for a funny swap. I got a raclette set and i made a bag :) Cool isn´ t it?! Great solution for "how to get things you like to have, in times of global economy crisis" ;D

Já terminada, esta recarga agulha não pica fica lindamente junto a verdadeiras flores!!! Mesmo "em curso" também já ficava...
Este é o primeiro bordado de uma experiência que estou a fazer. Bordar todos os meus motivos usando, apenas, ponto atrás... Porque bordar é muito fácil!!!! Neste caso há uma excepção... Os nozinhos franceses... Mas são muito divertidos!
