Autumn color has been about two weeks behind schedule on Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula this year. While the color is near peak now, we've recently been getting rain and fairly high winds. I am hoping the leaves will hold on until the colors peak. I'm also hoping to get some shots of Autumn 2015 that I like. In the meantime, here is one from the archives.

What a year it has been for full moons! This is a harvest moon taken earlier this year. Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas if you celebrate the holiday and for others, the New Year celebration will arrive soon!

all of my uploaded images are low-resolution. if you would like to use or license any of my photos, please contact me via flickrmail. thank you for looking.

“Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.”

Happy weekend!

I liked how the petals on this Magnolia blossom appeared to be reaching out to each other in an embrace.

Embrace the Rainbow in dreamy landscape of Skogafoss!

The majestic Skogafoss waterfall is located on the Skoga river in the south of Iceland.

Skogafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a width of 25 metres and a drop of 60 meters. There’s a lot of spray being generated by the waterfall and you can see a rainbow in the water when the sun is shining.

The very steep stairway to the right side of the Skogafoss waterfall lead to a hiking trail up to the Fimmvörduhals pass between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjökull where you can see more of Iceland's phenomenal nature.

Spring has definately arrived and the cherry trees have started to bloom, soon to be followed by apple and pear trees. The meadows are full of flowers in all different colours! This is the most beauitful time of year in the area where I live. But it is also the most stressful, because it all happens in such a short time, and of course I want to spend as much time as possible outside capturing all this beauty.

This picture was taken last spring. This year, spring is 1-2 weeks earlier because of the mild winter.

By now, most of you know how much I enjoy Canada’s Point Pelee National Park. Since I tend to go very early in the morning, my visits are solo, but my daughter Dayna joined me on a recent visit. I just could not resist the low, early morning sunlight at the marsh boardwalk, as she takes in the parks natural beauty.

I love this area of Barnes's Grove, Buckinghamshire. So difficult to isolate subjects due to the chaotic scene, so decided to embrace it and let it speak for itself!
