Thanks for looking!
I found this fabulous velvet skirt online, and I just love it 💗
Gives me the chance to showcase my legs. I'm so self obsessed! lol xx
Commissioned in March 1995 as part of a three-phase upgrade of existing facilities. By Sir Norman Foster and Partners, 1997. Upgrade completed in 30 months at a cost of £38 million. External appearance is said to derive from internal planning, which 'wraps' accommodation in a series of layers around the auditorium. Roof form consists of eight aluminium-clad shells. Accommodates 3,029 conference delegates on three tiered levels. Covered using 10,600 square metres of aluminium standing seam roofing sheets, laid to natural curve of 38 metres radius. The 0.9mm gauge sheets made from a stucco embossed and clad aluminium alloy. Uses KAL-ZIP aluminium roofing from Hoogovens, whereby sheets are installed using concealed fixing clips, then 'zipped' together by a seam-rolling machine.
Cappuccino minis with dazzling reindeer. The Cake Decorating Company's silicone plastic came in handy to make the reindeer. I had some of the gold cake picks but wanted to make edible decs. It worked well, highly reccomend it. I used this embossing folder: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QuicKutz-Embossing-Folder-SNOWFLAKE-EF... :0)
My second card for Cat's scramble. I used distress markers with the spritzer and a circle mask+stencil. The flower stamped in black and clear embossed to define it a bit more. A few gems around the sentiment ("thinking of you") finish this card.
There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved, a quote by George Sand. This valentine was made with collaged hearts and butterflies embellished with lace and gems from HERO ARTS STAMPS: PARIS CL325 and HERO ARTS ANTIQUE BACKGROUND CG120, XOXO HERO ARTS' FRIEND DEFINITION CG125, Distress Inks: antique linen and frayed burlap, layers of patterned papers with quote from George Sand, embossed paper, collaged roses, small brads, one pink button and a small piece of pink ribbon. The inside of this card was masked and stamped with HERO ARTS' ANTIQUE BACKGROUND STAMP CG120 (please see second photo). Have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for looking!
Updated photo to show rich colors. This ruffled pendant is made from Katoclay stretch thin in my pasta machine. Trying to decide what to do with it, I found that was very pliable and folded easily. I used black embossing powder before baking and used 600 grit sandpaper to polish off "just enough' after it had cured. The edges are treated with gold guilders paste and the final polish is Renaissance Wax.
A card using my new SSS embossing folder "Faceted Snowflakes" and some SSS snowflake dies. Added to the current challenge. Blogged here

This was found along CSX (ex-B&O mainline) in the Connellsville area.
The year 2017 was the 500th anniversary of German theologian Martin Luther's Reformation. One of the travel guidebooks is titled "Motherland of the Reformation - On the Trail of a World Event", which has this special embossed cover as well as a bound ribbon bookmark.
I've been wanting to make and post these photos for a long time.
As far back as over one year ago, I'd wanted to visit Hamburg and Saxony (Sachsen), and so I went on-line to look for tourism information. I came across the web site www.sachsen-tourismus.de/en/ and much to my delight, they still print and mail paper promotional materials. The order menu is pretty long, and I thought they would be just some booklets and leaflets, so I ordered a bunch. A few days later, a big heavy parcel arrived from Germany via DHL (thy sent by courier!) with magazine-size books printed on glossy paper!
Well-done Tourism Saxony. I'm more than impressed. I'm sold!
Two embossed ATCs created for the Let's Swap ATCs group, theme EMBOSSED. Not for trade.
Rubber stamps, glue pen, embossing powder, ink, washi tape, card stock, butterfly gem, found images, and nuts from my husbands tool box for extra embellishment.
This is not a photo--it's a cleaned up scan of a vintage brochure detail from the Victorville, California, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum. I have been searching for embossed leather designs to use in my digital collages. While not quite a full background, this is a nifty, traditional design.
I'll post the full brochure later. Alas, that museum has long-since closed and the Branson, MO operation has been shuttered as well. Not to mention that Trigger--the stuffed version--was sold at auction just recently. *sigh*
Feel free to download for use in your own work.
This is a T4L agree piece. Just don't resell it or package the original as your work.
A last card for the Hero Arts April challenge. I used one of the sketches. The frame was embossed with Platinum powder and the tulips were inked with Rose Bud, Sweet Plum and Bamboo Leaves Memento ink, masking off one half of the stamp.
I made a bunch of these backgrounds the other evening. It was made by dry embossing a piece of watercolour paper, rubbing it with a wax crayon and then paint it with watercolours. I wanted the middle panel of the sketch to be clear, so I embossed a piece of acetate and sandwiched it in between the two watercolour strips. TFL!!

I used real flowers for this card from my Hortensia plant . Distress inks are Aged Mahogany and Vintage photo. I used PP for the background. I made the squares with one of my fave HA stamps and that is the stitched square. I took this photo outside this morning - we still have a warm sun in the south of France!
Hand made and handstamped using Stampendous rubber stamps. Christmas tree image stamped onto dark green cardstock and then embossed in gold.

Modifications, left off the last 8 row repeat on the foot and used the reverse shaping for the star toe as suggested on Mona's blog.
Watercoloured Hydrangea with Distress markers and Tombow markers. Sentiment is white embossed onto black card. Background embossed for texture. Ribbon coloured with Dusty Concord distress ink.
For the #MacroMondays theme for 2/12, we have been tasked with presenting anachronisms- old fashioned artifacts. Embossing pages with a stamp or creating book plates seems to fit the bill. These days if readers keep track of their actual books, it’s probably done digitally or on kindles.
Later I’ll post a picture of the embossing tool.
