The "Doamna Oltea" parish was founded in 1940.
The parish church functioned between the years 1940-1948 in a building made up of two rooms at the gate of the "Fibrei" factory, opposite the former "Groapă Tonola", currently Circul de State, on the side that intersects Bd. Lacul Tei.
In the period 1948-1986, when the first place of worship was built in Paianta, in three months (the summer of 1948), and it functioned until its abusive demolition by the communist regime on November 27, 1986.
The parish house was also built during this period, both buildings, the church and the house being demolished by the communist regime in the fall of 1986 on November 27.
After the revolution of December 1989, at the beginning of 1990, efforts were made, finally crowned with success, to reacquire the land and after 7 years an Altar of glass and metal balls was built, which was consecrated on April 23, 1997 by P.S. Bishop Theodosius of Snagov.
In 1997, construction began on the Little Church (the present chapel), which was completed in 1998.
From April 23, 1997 to December 1, 1999, the "Doamna Oltea" Parish functioned administratively as an annex of the "Holy Trinity - Tei" Parish.
The church had the patrons of St. Cuvioasa Parascheva and St. Anthony the Great.
Due to the large number of believers who wanted the re-establishment of the parish, after the abusive demolition in 1986, the church being small in size, the construction of the Great Church began, which was inaugurated in the year 2000 on June 8 by the Blessed Father Patriarch, of worthy mention, Teoctist, who also gave the third patron of the church - the Transfiguration.
Two trestles were raised in the church yard.
Another important work is the Monument of the Pious Parascheva, an imposing construction that bears the icon of the saint worked in fresco.
In the period 2005-2007, a Social-Cultural-Medical Facility consisting of a basement, ground floor and first floor was designed and built in the church yard, which impresses with its appearance and functionality.
In an apse provided in the body of this building, embedded with windows for security, the icon of Saint Anthony the Great was painted in tempera with scenes from his life, considered and duly honored as the second patron of the church.
The consecration of the painting and the small church (currently used as a mortuary chapel), of the Social-Cultural-Medical Facility was carried out on November 18, 2007, by the Most Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel, accompanied by P.S. Archbishop Teodosie of Tomis, P.S. Sebastian Ilfoveanul, P.S. Varsanufie Prahoveanul Episcopi in the Archdiocese of Bucharest and a council of priests and deacons from the parish and outside it.
