What is this?
There won’t be a prize given for the correct answer because I don’t know what the correct answer is.
At first I thought it was a water tower, but it is very short and narrow for that. Although this color paint is often used for water towers. It is probably not an alien landing platform, so I think it must be some kind of tank to store oil. The strange thing is that it is at the end of a short stone road, with three houses on it, in a residential neighborhood. Note all the electrical panels on the small attached building.

This rainbow coloured electrical box was painted by Flavia Lucantoni. HERE WE ARE ...in the corner of Vernon Terrace and Commercial Road, Teneriffe. The heritage listed building on the right is the Mactaggarts F&G building.
This is the Electricity Supply Board peat-powered generating station in Gaoth Dobhair, Co. Donegal, situated on the banks of Loch Mhín na Cuinge. Construction began in 1954 and the station was commissioned in 1958. It was one of four built on the west coast of Ireland in the 1950s. The others were in Scríb, Co. Galway, Miltown Malbay in Co. Clare and Cahersiveen in Co. Kerry. Around 30,000 tons of turf was burned annually when the station was at its peak. This was a much-needed source of additional income for subsistance farmers in the area. The station finally closed in 1996 and was demolished in 2002.

Seo stáisiún na mónadh, nó 'an turf-burning' mar a b'fhearr aithne air. Sheas sé ar bhruach Loch na Cuinge i nGaoth Dobhair. An Chláir agus Cathair Saidhbhín i gCo. Chiarraí. Dódh suas le 30,000 tonna mónadh sa bhliain nuair a bhí an stáisiún i mbarr a réime, rud a chuaigh chun tairbhe d'fheirmeoirí an cheantair. Druideadh an stáisiún i 1996 agus leagadh go talamh é sa bhliain 2002.

Inside the submarine NRP Barracuda, currently moored in Cacilhas as a museum, we can see a technical section with a complex system of pipes, valves and metal ducts. This system, which was essential for ventilation, pressurization and internal pressure balance when immersed, allowed for the manual control of fluids such as compressed air, seawater and fuel. Noteworthy are the presence of control valves, including four manual valves with black circular handwheels, and electrical panels with high-voltage signs and warnings, indicating cooling circuits, hydraulic systems and the propulsion system. These pipes and valves are an integral part of the essential systems for underwater operation and crew safety. The Barracuda, belonging to the Albacora/Daphné class, served in the Portuguese Navy between 1968 and 2010 and today offers visitors an insight into the technical and operational conditions of this type of military vessel.
HDR multi-row stitched panorama image captured inside a control room on an abandoned coal loading jetty at Catherine Hill Bay on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia.
If you compare this to the photo I shot of the original panel (in my "Rebuilding the Garden Shed" album) you'll see an interesting difference.
This is one of 3 power control areas. Note the roofing... this is in the basement of a building, but below a pair of paper press dryers.
The smell in this building is very unique... and unsettling.
It's also interesting to see how bilingualism does and doesn't happen, and in what order.

Both my Son & my Wife took a short vacation to visit New Jersey last week and I asked my son Michael to take some Photographs at the Whippany Railroad Museum along the Morristown & Erie ROW. He actually came home with some great photos and since he used one of my camera's, I will be posting some here on flickr™.
This is another photograph of the Morristown & Erie Rail Yard in Whippany near the Whippany Railway Museum. It shows a Water Tower from the Steam Era, several Cabeese, MOW Equipment and in the distance on the Right, the Jersey Central Railroad Phebee Snow Observation Car and the Train containing the two ALCO's and four Coaches on the day before the last excursion of ALCO C-424's #18 & #19.
My son, Michael, took these photos on Saturday June 3, 2017, the Day before the Last Excursion of M & E Alco C-424's numbers 18 & 19.
MAQUINARIA-MINES SAL-CARDONA-ART-PINTURA-INTERIOR-MUSEU-AQUAREL·LA-PINTOR-ERNEST DESCALS-
