Moving right along... Ha!
Approaching my first three strangers was pretty easy. Jane, Margaret, and Rachel; three kind women whose glances were almost "inviting" as I passed by.
Things felt different here, and I almost kept walking. Originally "four", these three, "tough guys" were a bit more imposing. I think it was my own self-consciousness getting in the way; besides, if one of them slugged me; Bill, Jason and I could take on the four of them. Right?!
One of the things I love about Manhattan, is how the lunch hour buzzes with a combined feeling of hunger and satiation, depending on who you see. Tough guy look aside, these three guys happily obliged. Maybe it was because I caught them on a smoke break after lunch. Ahh... satiation! Or maybe it was because there was nothing to feel apprehensive about. This is New York City - Millions of different types of people, standing proud, and happy to show it to the rest of the world!
I found out that Fred, Brian, and Bill, are electrical contractors who were working for Cablevision on this particular day. It was the end of their break, so that's as far as I got but I was quite happy that they shared this New York minute with me.

What’s the Difference Between an Electrician and a Contractor?
It’s time to have some electrical work done within your home. Some of your friends are telling you to hire a good licensed electrician and others are recommending electrical contractors. While the terms are similar in nature, not every Delaware electrician is an electrical contractor. All electrical contractors utilize the services of licensed electricians.
Licensed Electricians
Licensed electricians are tradesmen with specialized training that allows them to understand and work with the electrical components associated with buildings, machines, and the equipment used in conjunction with either. Some licensed electricians specialize in the installation of new electrical equipment while others specialize in the repair of existing structures. The work of a licensed electrician in Delaware isn’t necessarily limited to homes or buildings. Some work on airplanes and ships as well.
The licensing requirements or electricians vary from state to state. Most states require both schooling and a specific number of hours in an apprenticeship and/or electrical trainee program. An apprentice must work under the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician, who is in turn supervised by a Master Electrician, for at least 5-7 years before he can become a Journeyman Electrician himself and work without supervision. Another garage shot, two Ampere Limited service trucks in a loading dock. Both descendants of Japan, though the Hino is built in North America. The Hino 195 replaced the contractor's Chevy cube van and apparently is quite nice to drive (I haven't driven it yet). The compact Nissan NV200 does handle well and is comfortable to drive. It does need a bit more power when fully loaded though. It would likely fit inside the cube van !
