I lived in Edgewater, NJ for many years. There were a few Parrots that were let loose in the wild in about 1990. They first made there nest in an electrical transformer. The warmth of the electrical power helped them in the winter. But the power company took the nest down. There were a lot of angry people but the birds were not effected a bit. They went on to build nest in a park about 300 feet from my apartment. It was to become know as parrot park. I have since moved from the area and on returning found the birds have multiplied and flourished. There are hole trees that are nothing but bird nests. They are like apartment complexes. Really amazing! Nature adapts!
