🎷 Weather Report – Live In Berlin 1971

📀 Limited Edition • Yellow Splatter • 180g Double Vinyl

📦 From Poland via GAD Records

Though I’ve had this beauty chilling in my collection since I pre-ordered it, today is the day I finally give it the spotlight it deserves — and now the story gets even richer.

This archival gem was officially released on October 24, 2023, with pre-orders launching shortly beforehand. It was one of those rare moments when time slowed down, waiting for the mail to arrive, knowing what was coming was going to be something special.

Recorded live at Haus des Rundfunks in Berlin on September 3, 1971, this captures Weather Report in full experimental flight — before they’d even released their debut album. It’s raw, unpredictable, and full of fiery improvisation from Zawinul, Shorter, and Vitouš, with guest appearances by John Surman, Alan Skidmore, and Eje Thelin — a thrilling snapshot from the edge of jazz-rock fusion.

And this pressing? God-tier. 180 g double vinyl with a vivid yellow splatter that matches the music’s energy. Pressed in a limited run of just 300 copies — this edition is as collectible as it is sonically stunning.
