A happy Easter for all my friends

For smile on Saturday theme eggs-periment

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and we will celebrate that (again) with an egg picture. Yes, I’m having eggs this morning for sure with a coffee. This should give me lots of energy to jumpstart my day.

Another video meeting will start in a few minutes and honestly I wonder where did the time go ? It is already mid December and we have only a few video meetings left… And I have a strange feeling that I will miss those meetings… But something tells me that working from home isn’t over yet ! We are supposed to have another lockdown during the holidays so the video meetings will still be there in 2021…

Have an amazing day my friends and see you later !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

First time spotting these lacewing eggs... with a day of rain, I hope they didn't get washed off.... but it would be great if the aphids got washed off... they are everywhere!!

It is curious that figurative arts do not take the eggs into consideration. You can walk around the halls of a large museum without finding a still life with eggs. Vegetables stand out by far. Yet their shape is perfect and they would like to lend themselves like bottles with infinite compositions.

Found this egg laying on the ground at the bottom of my back porch this morning, very odd place for it to be, could not locate a nest near by.

…… Not from Mars as far as I know but it has landed in Shrewsbury! Part of an exhibition around the town - this was outside the Castle and is my #197 picture of the day. Taken on my Phone in Apple RAW and edited in Lightroom. Alan:-)

Peter and Oleg are egg hunting in the garden.

PETER:

Wow! The basket is almost full Oleg!

I see one more! It's a red one! That's for Rosie!

OLEG:

I see it too!

They both run to the egg and try to get it.

OLEG:

Ouch! You got my nose instead of the egg Peter.

PETER:

Sorry Oleg...I didn't see it. The egg is red and so is your nose.

(Peter kisses Oleg on the nose)

OLEG:

It's all right....you have the egg for Rosie and that's more important.

PETER:

I love you Oleg...I really do.

OLEG:

And I love you Peter

Happy Easter

Smile on Saturday: Eggs

Insects, recently emerged from their egg capsule, explore their new surroundings. As one can observe, some insects have yet to burst from their "incubators." Thanks to another Flickr member, the tiny insects are identified as "true bug" (Heteroptera, Hemiptera).

My grandfather from Ireland used to eat his soft boiled eggs in a shot glass. Along with a cup of tea and his dog Buff sitting at his side.

Romanian Easter egg, two painted from Bukovina and one beaded, made in Transylvania.

The origin of painted Easter eggs 'goes back at least a couple of centuries, and today they represent the most popular image of this major Orthodox religious holiday.' (www.uncover-romania.com/attractions/history-culture/tradi...)

Just happen to come across this as I was searching for jumping spiders....tucked into a small break in the bark. Small, about .25" maybe!

Peter and Oleg are dressed as Easter bunnies and go to hide eggs in the forest.

OLEG:

I look ridiculous in that Easter bunny outfit and it is also very warm. I can hardly move. My feet hurt and my arms can no longer carry the heavy eggs.

PETER:

You are so grumpy Oleg. You don't get any nicer. We do this for our friends. We invite all our bear friends to come and look for eggs in the forest at Easter.

OLEG:

I like that, but all the work we have to do. Boil the eggs, paint them, put on a stupid suit and hide the eggs.

PETER:

Come on Oleg, it's Easter once a year.

OLEG:

I am happy with that. Once a year is enough.

PETER:

When we are done we go to Mommy Marian. She has Easter bread and lemonade for us.

OLEG:

Then we have to work hard, because I am very hungry and want Easter bread!

Walking up to Nell and Helen's for a cup of tea and a play with the pigs involved filling my camera bag with these for the walk back.

Next to quite an expensive lens.

Worth the risk though. Yum.
