took this pic while i was teaching one my hot shots photography courses. on the 1st day i always take my students to the seven bees cafe for a lunch time pit stop. if your ever in brighton you must check it out, it's in a alley between ship street and middle street.
one of the tasks on the course is to shot a list of 66 things on 2 rolls on film in 3 hours, i always take part as well so the attendees can see what i can do with 2 rolls of film. this was for one of my "something i ate". the next course with places left is on the weekend 16th-17th june.

UPDATE: And the award goes to: "-child of God-Beckie" who said "pocketbook plant" as the common name... which led me to the latin name: "Calceolaria crenatiflora"

And a very special mention to "syam C" for the most original name "Egg & bacon!" What an imaginative childhood you must have had! I will never look at another flower with these colours without shouting with glee "Egg & bacon! " -- at least in my head! :D
Today is Fathers Day, and footy finals begin next weekend, and being a footy fan I probably deserve this ?? Is there no end to the merchandise the AFL will slap their logo on ? AND it's a "limited edition" !!!
Oh well, I'll join my boys later in the afternoon for a cold beer and an "egg & bacon chip" !!
