ODC the golden hour
Heading up Crown Street, on our way for pizza. I lagged behind the group to get these three shots. Then I had to trot to catch up.
The pizza was very good; thin-crusted pies from a wood-fired brick beehive oven. No pizza is better than New Haven pizza.
This was my final outcome for a live brief presented by Dovetail Energy Efficiency. The task was to design a company logo and business card.
On the sidelines of the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program annual meetings, an awards ceremony was held to recognise those champions clean and efficient cooling. Rwanda was recognised for being the first country in the world to develop a National Cooling Strategy and for its efforts to develop minimum energy performance standards for cooling appliances.
June 24, 2009: On behalf of Efficiency Maine, John Brautigam presented Fred Forsley with a recognition award for all the green technologies at the Shipyard Brew Pub and Regatta Banquet & Conference Center in Eliot, Maine. A roof top solar system is the backbone of an energy efficient system that includes features such as: heated sidewalks; interior, exterior, and parking lot lighting; low energy, high efficiency kitchen motors; recaptured heat from refrigeration motors; preheated water; and cooking systems that utilize steam generated by natural gas. This award recognizes the commitment to energy efficient practices Shipyard Brewing Company has demonstrated. Maine's director of tourism, Pat Eltman, was also on hand to talk about the importance of green businesses to Maine's tourism industry. Effciency- A measure of how well or how productively resources are used to achieve a goal. Fedex uses their trucks and trained drivers to get their customers packages and documents in a timely manner.

I am very efficient at work, but not at all in my personal life. Multitasking, shortcuts and best practices just escape me.
So 2009 will be the most efficient ever! I started early by teaching myself continental knitting today. After bragging to my mother how much faster I already was, I timed myself. One row with throwing? 3:40. One row with continental? 4:30.
Oh well. I tried!

The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance's 2023 Efficiency Exchange (EFX) Conference took place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. On May 2-3, 2023, regional and national attendees from public and private utilities, consulting and research firms, and government and non-profit organizations came together to learn and connect to help the region more effectively achieve its energy efficiency goals.
