My long Sunday started with four trips on a service 6 with 403 to guide the way.

Snape on tour took me to Ruddington for part 1 & 3 broken up with a single trip to Edwalton.

407 was my bus for both stints on a ruddy good day out!

Hitachi 'Intercity Express Programme' or IEP number 800001 glides through Stanton on the Wolds on 23rd February 2016 working a test train from Edwalton to Asfordby. The IEP is billed as the best thing since the HST concept in the 1970s and will be common sights along the GWML and ECML by the end of the decade

While seeing the football Extra's, 423 started Tracking.

423 is seen Unusually turning onto London road, with a 5A to Edwalton Via Central Avenue and Buckfast Way.

The 125th anniversary livery worn by 627/YN14MUV is one I've captured before, but will more than happily keep capturing as it arises. On the 4th of November, it found itself on Bridgford Bus duties, as shown here with a 6 to Edwalton.

660 is seen by Victoria Centre on 6 towards Edwalton.

Seen parked proudly in the summer sun at the Edwalton turn around point of the 6 Bridgford Bus. I'm personally a fan of the Enviro 400City bodywork, and a big fan of Scania vehicles, so this combination for me was a win win.

Nottingham City Transport's YP17 UFC (403) is seen waiting time at Wellin La Terminus, Edwalton (turning circle) before taking a 6 to the City Centre and around the City Loop. The 6 operates up to every 15 minutes, and is one of the bus routes branded as "Bridgford Bus." YP17UFC was new in June 2017 to the municipal (council owned) operator. It is a Scania N280UD/Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro 400CBGCity, which is gas powered.

Something you won't see as much from the weekend.... Sunday 5s!! I hadn't realised that the 5A was running every day, on Sundays, the 5A runs between 9am and 6pm, the normal 5 kicking back in afterwards until 11pm.

A welcome return to Nottingham, this was one of the new vehicles purchased for the 'Five Counties' which operated on the 19 from Nottingham to Peterborough via Melton Mowbray and Oakham. After the 19 was cut back to the bare bones, the bus transferred to Leicester, but due to shortages, it's back for this week.

In Damon's own words: 'This week I’m a Grantham driver, on loan to Leicester depot, working a Leicester duty, which is covering a Grantham duty, using a Leicester bus, which will be outstationed at Grantham depot'. My head exploded trying to understand it....

Bank holiday Monday means another day away from 49s.

401 was my first bus of the day which was feeling alittle under the weather!

Exactly 10 years ago today, Nottingham City Transport Scania Omnicity 507 - FP02 YDW descends Market Street on GO2 route 6 to Edwalton in dismal weather conditions for the so called lightest day of the year. 507 is now a member of the training fleet.

660 pauses at the Stamford Road stop in West Bridgford with a 6 to Edwalton.

A first time seeing one of these in the flesh for me, one of Centrebus Grantham's Tempos made it to Nottingham!! Now that the work is operated by Grantham, I suppose this will be a common sight from here on in??

777 heads round the edge of The Meadows with a 19 to Melton Mowbray via Edwalton, Normanton-on-the-Wolds and Ab Kettleby.

With a 5 sandwiched in between, there are currently extra 6s at 0505 and 0603 from Edwalton Wellin Lane which then carries on normal Saturday timetables at 0630 in Nottingham.

Making a surprise appearance was 620 keeping my E400 run on 6s going!

345055 heads south through Stanton on the Wolds with an Edwalton to Asfordby test train on 25th February 2019. Using a pole here gives you an idea of just how high this line is as you can see the Vale of Belvoir and the City of Nottingham below in the distance

A little par 4 with me parentals.

A return to edwalton saw me equipped with another Enviro!

Me and 615 settle in for the evening on a mostly quite evening.

If only cross City services still existed, perhaps this is a 'what could've been' situation, given the 90 used to be what is now the 87 from Arnold to Nottingham and the 6 to Edwalton....

401, complete with mask, exits Magnus Road with the school extra 87 to Nottingham.

First day in service today in the new livery, and it’s covered three routes today seeing the morning on 87/88 and then the afternoon on the 5.

Frustratingly I had the day off too but fancied a lazy morning!! Oh well, next time...

On its second day in service, Nottingham City Transport Scania N280UD / Enviro 400 City 402 - YP17 UFB calls at Nottingham Station working Bridgford Bus 6 to Edwalton. These super environmentally friendly bio-gas buses will reduce Co2 emissions by up to 84% compared to an equivalent brand new diesel double deck bus.

In the wake of the senseless violence which claimed the lives of three innocent people on Tuesday morning in the City, NCT have repurposed the royal E400 Scania in solidarity.

660 is pictured on Stamford Road near Edwalton with a 6 from Nottingham, Trent Bridge and West Bridgford.

After over three years of planning, development and testing, Scania have produced an impressive new N280UD Bio Gas powered chassis, with the new ADL E400MMC or City style bodywork.

Nottingham City Transport originally applied for OLEV funding for 82 new gas buses, but this was later reduced to 53. This allowed for the installation of the Gas Station, housed in the NCT depot, in Nottingham. There is potential of Nottingham purchasing/operating up to 120 Gas powered double deckers, again depending on the correct funding.

During early spring 2017 Nottingham, unveiled five of the new gas buses on Old Market Square from 10:00 until around 15:00, however the weather did not dampen the interest of the new buses. The event drew in plenty of interest from the Nottingham general public, along with a selection of goodie bags and leaflets introducing the new gas fleet.

By early July 2017 the first route in the NCT network began to see the new Gas buses run, successfully, the Green Line 6 service, City Loop to Edwalton, via Trent Bridge and West Bridgford.

Here 427 exits Alford Road into Stamford Road, while working the 6 service during Friday July 7th 2017.

Just two days in and this is my fourth photo of this bus already!!

304 turns into Lower Parliament Street with a 5 to Gamston Morrisons via Trent Bridge, West Bridgford and Edwalton.

Covering for 402 which came off at lunch time, this was the second spare bus to be seen in use on the first day of gas bus operation, and it's a winner!!

427 pulls in at Angel Row with a 6 to Edwalton via Trent Bridge and West Bridgford.
