And we're live! After a few weeks of scanning, editing, tweaking, and fine tuning, I'm happy to announce that I've launched my first three packs of vintage paper textures.

These 15 textures include ink smears, stains, creases, folds, and all sorts of grit accumulated through the years. The set has been carefully scanned in from a late 1800s typography reference book.

A bit of technical data:

- At least 7,880x4,990 pixels

- Scanned in at 1,200 ppi

- Complete pack file size: 404 Mb

Don't miss out on this great launch celebration: this texture pack is available as part of Design Cuts current bundle, "The Essential, Creative Design Arsenal" - http://www.designcuts.com/design-cuts-deals/essential-design-bundle

You can have a peek of what's in the pack in the attachments.

Finally, note that there are two other paper textures packs captured from the same booklet!

- Vintage paper textures volume 01

- Vintage paper textures volume 02

- Vintage paper textures volume 03

How would you edit this photo that was submited to FroKnowsPhoto.com ?

I'm not sure if I like this one better. I think it is more dramatic?

I took this because i was originally taking photo's for my latest photography project and this was just a reject so edited it and ended up with something that looks like this.

Back drop is a wallpaper sample blue-tacked to the wall (!), table cloth is a piece of linen from the charity shop, props my own :-) Edited with Kim Klassen's True Grit in Lightroom and her Rainy Day Texture added in Photoshop.

Edited picture of Shakespeare, from a Wikipedia image.

edited in photoshop.

I cloned out the big trashcan on the right, the funky tree, it looked like it was growing out of the trashcan.

Darkened the sky a bit, it was a little blown, added a texture and then a layer mask to reveal my little guy. Oh and cropped a bit to the right side to get it more even in the middle. Still struggling with that, wish I had a bit more cropped.
