After over-editing for a while, I cannot even seem to remember the atmosphere I wanted to catch ;) This version was made by antebellum - he prefers another, though.

Carousels are somewhat special to me:

1) I hate them for being commercial & thus destroying the atmosphere of a nice place.

2) I love them for radiating childish lightheartedness.

3) I also love the association with crime & mystery that I have. Remember that X-factor episode? (Sorry that it's in German).

I know the above associations seem to exclude each other - but that's what the carousel's fascination is about for me ;)

Op maandag 13 mei 2013 organiseerden de twee Nederlandse partners die meewerken aan het project Europeana Fashion (Centraal Museum Utrecht en het Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid) een edit-a-thon rond mode in samenwerking met Wikimedia Nederland en ModeMuze.

Tijdens deze edit-a-thon of schrijfdag maakten deelnemers nieuwe Wikipedia-artikelen over mode aan en werden bestaande artikelen verfijnd of vertaald, bij voorkeur in referentie tot de diverse modecollectie van het Centraal Museum.

Het doel van de edit-a-thon is om de op Wikipedia beschikbare informatie over mode te verbeteren en meer zichtbaar te maken - zowel voor nl.wikipedia.org als andere projecten.

O.a. studenten, modeconservatoren, onderzoekers, modebloggers en andere enthousiastelingen waren hierbij aanwezig.

Ervaring met het bewerken van Wikipedia was niet vereist: tijdens de edit-a-thon was een aantal ervaren Wikipedianen aanwezig om de deelnemers te begeleiden.

UPDATE: After trying a print of version 07, we came back to this and it is the version that is now hanging on the wall. It was printed on Kodak Endura "metal" paper by Mpix and it's really nice.

I've become a better editor in the last 4 years. Sadly, it means I have a lot of shots to re-edit. This looks a lot better with a new coat o' polish on it.
