whoop almost fell completely off the bike , But Im a pro no worriers.
The view from Blackstone Edge near Littleborough as the weather finally begins to clear. The sense of wildness of the countryside, somewhat tempered by the numbers of wind turbines visible in this part of the South Pennines.
The much-photographed White Edge Lodge on the Eastern Moors of the Derbyshire Peak District. A former gamekeeper's lodge on the Duke of Rutland's Longshaw Estate it is now a National Trust holiday cottage.
Beucha church - Bergkirche Beucha.
The hill on which the church stands was continuously excavated from the 15th century onwards, with the consequence that the church now stands on the edge of a near vertical slope.
Stanage Edge is a vast gritstone edge that overlooks the village of Hathersage in the English Peak District..
Aged oak in the senile ontogenetic stage on the edge of the taiga forest along the Neva bay in St. Petersburg
I'm not sure if these loose rocks were placed precariously on the edges jutting out from the cliff by people, or if they ended up there naturally. Looks kind of cool though.
Another one from my favorite place on the California coast, Pescadero State beach, between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, California.
Thank you for your previous comments. I hadn't planned to post anything, but felt inspired by Macro Monday's "Edge" theme today. Surely still feel edgy!
This is a long section of 'wallboard cap molding' from which one can hang framed art without punching extra holes in wood or wallboard.
The right side is 19.05mm in height. I bounced an SB800 speedlight against a semi-reflective warm surface. Balanced the molding on two glass salt and pepper shakers, hence a few bokeh balls.

Thanks for your comments. I read them all gratefully.
Would this look edgier in B&W?
Curbar Edge is a gritstone moorland escarpment above the village of Curbar, in Derbyshire, England and close to the villages of Baslow, Calver, and Froggatt. It is located within the Peak District National Park at an altitude of 958 ft (292 m)
Here is another image from my last shoot but facing the other direction. While my model was in the car warming up I motioned to her to bring out gloves for me. I had her throw them to me cause I was down on some rocks in shooting position. Very bad idea to throw lightweight things in the wind on the edge of a hill. Luckily I was able to retrieve the gloves with only a short scramble down the hill. We only shot for maybe 5 mins before my model squealed I can't take it anymore and ran to her coat. I can't express how grateful I am that she stuck with me to at least get a couple shots.

I'd love to see more of you on instagram!
“When you have come to the edge Of all light that you know And are about to drop off into the darkness Of the unknown, Faith is knowing One of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or You will be taught to fly”

Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere located at 30 Hudson Yards, with a one-of-a-kind design. It’s suspended in mid-air, giving you the feeling of floating in the sky with 360-degree views you can’t get anywhere else.
You can look 100 stories down from the thrilling glass floor, lean out over the city on angled glass walls and sip champagne in the sky.
Myiarchus cephalotes
(Pale-edged flycatcher / Atrapamoscas montañero)
La Ceja, Colombia; 2.300 meters above sea level.
Pale-edged flycatcher is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, distributed throughout subtropical montane forest in the Andes.
This species is typically a bird of humid forests and is one of the few species of Myiarchus that is restricted entirely to humid montane forest.

The weather and landscape together produced something special. As I was passing Bamford Edge I stopped to look at the breaks in the cloud. The forecast said light rain turning to heavy rain. And after already getting rained on and falling in a river, I almost headed home.
I'm glad I didn't though. The light was spectacular and I was lucky to capture the cumulonimbus clouds.
I was hampered by my tripod leg falling apart (I carry tools to fix it), moisture in the EVF (which happened last year), and condensation under my UV filter (trapped when I swapped back from a polariser). Lucky I spotted that one before I finished shooting.
The incoming leg of the recent Great Britain XVI tour sees the Battle of Britain class Tangmere coming through Edge Hill Liverpool on Friday evening . One engine that until Friday I hadnt been able to capture .

I thought I'd better get in on the action at Bamford Edge.
It wasn't as busy I thought it would be after seeing all the vans and cars at 5am. There were, however, two tents, right at the top of dry stone wall to the right of here. I didn't see them get up while I was there.

Another largely unsuccessful attempt to photograph a Lyrid! One right on the edge of the frame. So much for the two thirds rule :)
Quite literally on the edge of a hill, this small relic has been sitting in this location for decades. It now serves as a reminder of Pioneers taming the frontier. As well, at this moment some golden light touches a hill, crowning its place.
This too is the Nicola Valley, a place that has so many different faces. The time of day, the season, the weather, and the elements all contribute to the look of the Valley. I always look forward to the many opportunities this area delivers.
