Citroën 2CV from New York City to Rio de Janeiro. On the occasion of the 2014 FIFA Soccer World Cup, Eric Carpentier and Pierre Pitoiset from the ACOW [A Cup Of World] organization, drove a Citroën 2CV from New York City to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. A trip of 150 days, 13 000 miles [or 20 000 km] and through 16 countries. Some years later after the trip it's still on the road.

Hotel de L'Ecu de France
The Hotel de L'Ecu de France (est. 1624) is owned by the fourth generation of a family. Many traces of a long history, even with stables where people used to travel by horse and carriage. Started as a "Relais de Poste" and remembered by visitors as Charles de Batz, better known as the famous Musketier d'Artagnan. Today a simple but welcoming hotel with restaurant where travelers still enjoy a pleasant stay.

Dreaming of Jean de La Fontaine. Wall decoration reminiscent of the stories and drawings of the fabulist and poet Jean de La Fontaine, one of the literature and arts guests at the nearby château Vaux-le-Vicomte. From the time of the playwright Molière, they were among the artists close to Fouquet. This presentation, with the paintings on canvas in the hallway among huge artistic mirrors must have been stunning to see in brandnew state and years after, nowadays it shows signs of the passed history and maybe it should be renovated to restore it into it's full former glory just like I tried with this photographic version. Anyways, a nice thought for a good night dream.

Chàteau Mouton Rothschild wine labels. A poster with with labels used each year by Chàteau Mouton Rothschild (Est. 1853). Baron Philippe de Rothschild came up with the idea of having each year's label designed by a famous artist of the day.[1] In 1946, after the success of the 1945 label, this became a permanent and significant aspect of the Mouton image with labels created by some of the world's great painters and sculptors. In short this decoration is enough food to enjoy a meeting at this hotel about the art of wine making.

Hotel de L'Ecu de France - Culinair
The Hotel de L'Ecu de France (est. 1624) is owned by the fourth generation of a family. Many traces of a long history, even with stables where people used to travel by horse and carriage. Started as a "Relais de Poste" and remembered by visitors as Charles de Batz, better known as the famous Musketier d'Artagnan. Today a simple but welcoming hotel with restaurant where travelers still enjoy a pleasant stay.

Floor tyle decoration. Always a nice welcome, the tiles show "Cafe de L'Ecu" or patterns that reminds us to a stunning design with many special decorations like these when it was all brandnew.
