A neighborhood favorite. I have captured this Econoline before, but just had to snap it again at twilight on my way home from work.
And after that it was dumped. What World Fair could the plate be hinting at?

Taken at the Rides on Monmouth Car Show held annually in Newport, Kentucky.
I always liked going to this show as the location and stores on the street were fun not to mention the restaurants.. The cars it attracts are mostly ones I've not seen before or at other shows I tend to go to. Also there are a reasonable number of cars, so it is easy to get around and see all of them.
You have to love this rare beauty, but I'll bet working on the engine is a bit of a challenge. Note where the exhaust is.

View looks north from the passenger depot. Tower would be just out of photo in the distance at top right by the train order signal.
Some might remember my '72 Econoline Street Van that I modeled after the van in an Avengers set. I decided to give this thing another go, without basing it off of the set this time. The result is a completely different build.

Once ubiquitous Ford Econoline van workhorse. Straight six, 3 on the tree manual. Taken to the cleaners. A Tailor might come in handy now. An alteration to let out some material. Or can step up exercise to work off all those vegetables. Too hard, will just dial this guy at CApitol-4-9000.

* summer holiday season theme: Station Wagons, Vans and curiosities ☺☺!
My old pal Paul and his fabulous Series 1 Jaguar XJ6 sedan, at the downtown CP Nanaimo ferry terminal. This was way back in the Summer of '79. He was dropping me off for the ferry to Vancouver, and, generous as always, helping me with my luggage.
Period cars in the background include, left to right, a copper Cadillac Fleetwood, white Datsun or similar import pickup, white Ford Granada sedan and behind that a Ford Econoline camper van.
