I put this together for a friend in Germany who was out looking at this rare occurance at the the same time. Siegbert was up at 4:00 a.m. to witness this eclipse, for me in DC it was an easy 9:00 p.m. shoot out my front door. This was taken on February 20, 2008

Photographing an eclipse at sunrise, just after 5am, was interesting. I was somewhat annoyed that the clouds made me miss the sun breaking the horizon but they did offer some interesting details to the photos that would have been missing had the sky been clear.
This was taken after the total eclipse. There were lots of clouds during the eclipse but just as the earth shadow was moving off the moon the clouds disappeared and I got this shot.

It's a lot harder than I thought to try to take photos through my telescope.
The images are upside down because of the type of telescope I use, and I'm lazy and didn't take the time to flip them. Some are taken with a handheld camera, the others were used taken on a tripod (I need to get a mount).
There was a thin veil of clouds through the first half of the eclipse and there was a single tree in my way until later on when the moon cleared the tree and the clouds cleared the sky.
Taken through my 1981 model Astroscan 2001.
