I lost sight of this red-tailed hawk and then walked off the trail looking up at the trees til I saw him chowing down and in no rush to fly off.

Driving through the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park I passed a group of macaques in the water. By the time I turned around and came back they had already exited the water and were climbing nearby trees.

The crab-eating macaque lives in matrilineal social groups of up to eight individuals dominated by females. Male members leave the group when they reach puberty. It is an opportunistic omnivore and has been documented using tools to obtain food in Thailand and Myanmar. The crab-eating macaque is a known invasive species and a threat to biodiversity in several locations, including Hong Kong and western New Guinea The significant overlap in macaque and human living space has resulted in greater habitat loss, synanthropic living, and inter- and intraspecies conflicts over resources.

"Rusty" How can you eat that mini-sandwich? ... Silly question ... I watched him eat the one he's about to enjoy and before he departed to wherever he goes he proceeded to eat the other one.
I placed a plastic jar between two trunks of our large maple tree in the backyard. I filled it with peanuts and the squirrels love it. This Gray squirrel loved it so much that it decided to move right in and get cozy.

Mother Nature decided that we needed some early Spring rain.
Weather news predicts a very nasty 3 day storm event approaching with very heavy rain, very strong wind gusts and get this maybe wet SNOW.
Yup, the weather presenter was spot on!
Let's stay safe and hope we have no power outages.
This Little Blue Heron pulled an odd looking fish out of the Gulf of Mexico. How does it know if it is safe to eat?
Eating popcorn I put out there. All it needs is a movie to watch while it eats popcorn.
Have a wonderful day.
This White-throated Sparrow appeared to be eating a leaf. Hopefully there was an insect on the leaf for a meat course.

Asparagus spears dripping with butter. They made a delicious addition to lunch after I finished shooting.

Hi There!
Couldn't help but throw in that childhood song!
Here he is, the much aligned brood parasite, the Brown-headed Cowbird (male). That means that the female lays eggs in the nests of other birds and then takes off, leaving the other bird responsible for the raising of the Cowbirds' young. As I see it, Nature has its reasons, no matter how hard for us to understand.
This male was scurrying around like a madman as he searched for food and paid little attention to me. In the right light, the colours of the male are really lovely (IMHO).
