With the prevailing weather coming to Manchester from the west it's not so often that the planes take off from the tunnel ends of the runway. So on this rare occasion of easterly winds with sunny weather (4 degrees yesterday, 20 degrees today)I wanted to catch the sight of the huge Airbus A380 taxiing over the runway tunnels. I waited and waited but having waited 45 minutes during my lunch time, and nearly an hour past EK018's scheduled departure time I gave up. Instead I got the easy jet.

EasyJet flight EZY883 this morning from London Gatwick to Glasgow, the flight is the airline’s first from the UK for 76 days, since easyJet grounded all planes on March 30th as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline resumes flying today from 8 UK airports with new bio security measures in place on all its services. easyJet’s first ever flight from London-Luton to Glasgow took off on 10 November 1995.
