The Latin name is arborvitae, tree of life, but it is commonly known as Thuja. This is the Thuja Occidentalis, Eastern Arborvitae. The cones are very small and when mature like in this shot, they looks surprisingly like flowers.
This is the last of my flowers that are not flowers for the week. I have lots more from my winter garden, so I am sure more will show up in the stream.

Red-legged grasshoppers are plant feeders and can cause damage, usually during dry years. I found this one on an Eastern Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis) growing at Distant Hill Gardens in Walpole, New Hampshire, USA.
I zoooomed in and counted ~100 daffodils. For such a small area that is ridiculously high-in-number!
