Fortunately for me that today WAH are visiting Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet! as the Old Fashioned cocktail was invented in 1881 at the Pendennis Club, Louisville, Kentucky, Probably because they had run out of apple pie.

Earha Kitt released this song in 1958 in the UK I remember playing it over and over as her voice and the lyrics fascinated me. What a lady she was and I loved her.

When I pulled this dead Anthurium bloom off my plant I couldn't help but admire the beauty even at this stage in its life cycle. I honored it. There is a new bloom on my plant. These plants are known for keeping their blooms for a long time.

Iâm enamored with the Milky Way core. Iâm enamored with stumps on lake shores. Naturally when I camp at a lake in a dark sky location, and that lake has stumps all around it, Iâm going to see if I can put the two together. These three very large stumps were within sight of our camp site at Trinity Lake when we were there for several nights in June 2022. I felt absolutely compelled to light paint them under the stars! This image is the result of several shots of the sky shot in rapid suggestion and âstackedâ to reduce digital ânoiseâ caused by the needed camera settings to capture the stars before they âtrailâ due to the Earthâs rotation. These were then merged with several more frames with different camera settings where I âlight paintedâ the stumps by walking around with an LED flashlight. In this way I can create a very clean image with much more detail than can likely be achieved in a single frame.

The bottom story of this building is about 12 feet high and one story is below ground level. There is a wooden access stairway to allow maintenance of the mechanism by which Eartha revolves - and to retrieve items people accidentally drop over the edge! HEDiSD
Initially I had spent several days attempting to capture this point at sunrise. Two of those days were overcast and on the third day I manage to get a perfect alignment of the breakwater and the sunâs red glow. (You can see those two versions on my website and in-gallery titled: Sunny Side Up and Tidal) However, this image represents the middle of that process. In some ways I appreciate this one the most because itâs the anticipation and waiting for the final moment. You can see the sky aglow in a soft pinks and periwinkle from the summer haze, while the earthâs shadow appears just above the horizon. I believe thatâs how you know itâs going to be a good day.
