Long exposure of the King's creek, leading to the King's fall, which unfortunately I was not able to see because the lookout got damaged in the fire last year and it has not been repaired yet. Got there a bit late, so the sun was not shining on the creek anymore.
Shot with the OM1 handheld, using the electronic ND filter. The image stabilization is amazing, the background is super crisp, the foreground is a bit fuzzy because it was too close to me. I am super happy not having to carry a tripod.
Seen in Guizhou Province, China
Water was a daily thing with my childhood. Listening to water, living with water, and having fun with water, has become very inspiring and sentimental to me wherever I go.
I have a phobia of wasps since I was a child. They scare and intrigue me, all in one. This one visited my table while I had lunch on the terrace of a restaurant.
Whew...I managed not to scream in panic and took a photo of it. Bless the zoom lens of my camera...
Fortunately it lost interest after a while and headed for some more interesting location.
It doesn't look it, but that's probably a 20 foot barrel. Early morning the other day at Peahi Maui.
Nearly 15 minutes here as the clouds stream past the trees along the horizon. The clouds were moving parallel, making for an interesting effect with the hole in the sky :)
Probably you shall not believe it, but the colors were really there, probably the different purples appear with the different times exposure.
Villarrica, Chile.
Taken on Acaill (Achill), County Mayo in Ireland. I used a Lee 10 stop ND filter which I learned to use during the workshop I was doing.
We took an evening visit to Bow Lake in the hope of getting a nice sunset. Sadly it wasn't to be but I had a chance to play with long exposures for the first time and I like the effect it creates. My thanks to Justin Minns - www.flickr.com/photos/justinminns/ our tutor for the course for his help, guidance and enthusiasm to impart knowledge.
Constructive criticism is always welcome.
Experimenting with long exposure
Taken with NightCap. Long Exposure mode, 35.81 second exposure, 1/1205s shutter speed.
Roadworks at Westminster caused issues for traffic. Long exposures were difficult, but i think the end result here is reasonably pleasing.
Shot the Dahlia first. Then added the white wash cloth out of focus. The double exposure dark setting was used for the exposures, so the wash cloth didn't totally burn out the Dahlia image.

If you spend enough time chasing birds, you will probably have some interesting and funny moments. This certainly would qualify as one of those for me. All I could think of as this guy flew by me was, for God's sake man, zip your fly. Mallard Drake. Kane County, Illinois
