Experiments with polygons and branching techniques. Polygons create succeeding generations once the saturation threshold is exceeded.
So i went out to the bar with a little social experiment. Walk in and hand out a few disposable cameras, then collect them when they are empty. Here are the results. I just thought was wondering what i would find on these rolls of film. I think one of the most rewarding thing about it was just watching all these people interacting and be willing to have their pictures taken with random strangers, by random strangers.
Experiment: cake batter in the waffle iron! A delicious experiment indeed. I used Cherrybrook kitchen cake mixes in vanilla and chocolate. It took quite a few tries to get everything right, but here are photos of the results!
Hmm.. one of those that is so heavily processed it is impossible to print as the colours are so out of gamut! Looks a bit painterly which was my intention.

This was my first experiment for my final piece. My main idea for force was people which then lead to segregation. When looking into segregation with more depth I came across the idea of ''things looking the same but are different''. This is when I thought of my idea for my final piece. I placed millie in the same spot which was on the field.I asked her to pull different facial expressions but still stay in the same angle. In the 4th photo i changed the ISO and the shutter speed. This created the effect of the lag when she moved. I took a variety of photos in this way. The reason for this is because i wanted to make one of my photos different to the others but still look slightly similar to the other photos. This comes into the concept of things being the same but looking different. When putting them together I chose what photos i wanted carefully and edited them in the say way. I changed the saturation, shadows, highlights and added a pink/purple tint to make it look slightly different. I put all the photo's together using photoshop. When evaluating my experiment I decided to change the perspective of the photo this means that when taking the photos for my final piece i will have the camera closer up and take them in different angles. I also changed the location because i thought that it was too busy and may distract the viewer from millie.
Today we all got together to make sloe products. This years experiments involve gin, vodka, white rum, raspberrys, lemons and different types and quantitys of sugar.
We will then get together one evening in the new year for a blind tasting session and vote for a winner.
Next Fullspectrum Experiment.
I think this will be the last one for now. It's basically the same thing, I did before, but now eith a B+W #081 filter. This cyan-blue filter is also a technical filter and it blocks IR. But it seems to me not as much as the 470 filter I used before. On some photos you can see the pale green typical if shooting foilage with an unfiltered fullspectrum camera. Others show perfect greens. I cannot explain, probably different overlapping effects or a strange transmission curve.
Other than that I get nice colors, but as the filter is very „cold“ WB of course pretty extreme.
I now tried everything I wanted to -- now I should think what I do with this, actual pictures I mean, no experiments. If only I got an decent idea. Well, usually usages come up at some point, when you don't think too much, so I'm confident.
