Was toy hunting after class the other day and found Shatterstar in a wallgreens! I had almost forgotten about him (was looking for sandman parts) but I did want another cool 90's X-person
I admit that I was just not that enthused about the solar eclipse. If my home had not been in the path of totality, I’m not sure that I would have even prepared or photographed this amazing event. That being said, the feelings of witnessing this event are hard for me to put into words.
As the moon completely engulfed the sun at 11:33 AM we could hear the cheers from distant neighbors, you could feel the temperature drop, we could see the stars, and well this is the hardest part to describe… there was just something that was deeply spiritual about the whole experience.
I am grateful that so many people had the opportunity to experience this event, that there were acts of kindness to those traveling from afar to see this first hand, and at least in our area, the weather could not have been better. There is something unifying in knowing that so many took the time to witness such a magnificent event of the heavens and I sincerely hope that it may possibly help us remember that we are all brothers and sisters living here on the 3rd rock from the sun.
Yesterday, I checked on the doves outside my second floor window...both the male and female were proudly watching over this single egg! It was the perfect photo until I went for my camera and the male promptly flew away. This is one proud and dedicated mother-to-be!
I'm having some troubles with my camera's focusing and need to bring it into the shop. I had such a great hike last week with a gorgeous view and sky, but when I got home I was so disappointed in how soft all the photos were! :(
Oh well, I still think the movement in this one is really cool.
I'ma be what I set out to be

I'm tearin down your balcony

I really don't know a lot about night time sky photography... but the results from some attempts on the weekend turned out OK.... the light from the horizon created some nice complimentary colouring.... if you look closely you can see three meteors....

All earthly delights are sweeter in expectation than in enjoyment; but all spiritual pleasures more in fruition than in expectation.
