Magic exists... Who can doubt it when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars?
Saint Patrick's Cathedral (Irish: Ard-Eaglais Naomh Pádraig) in Dublin, Ireland, founded in 1191, is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland. With its 43-metre (141 ft) spire, St. Patrick's is the tallest church (not Cathedral) in Ireland and the largest. Christ Church Cathedral, also a Church of Ireland cathedral in Dublin, is designated as the local Cathedral of the diocese of Dublin and Glendalough.
Unusually, St Patrick's is not the seat of a bishop, as the Archbishop of Dublin has his seat in Christ Church Cathedral. Since 1870, the Church of Ireland has designated St Patrick's as the national cathedral for the whole of Ireland, drawing chapter members from each of the twelve dioceses of the Church of Ireland. The dean is the ordinary for the cathedral; this office has existed since 1219. The most famous office holder was Jonathan Swift.

Eurasian curlew
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_curlew
The Eurasian curlew or common curlew (Numenius arquata) is a wader in the large family Scolopacidae. It is one of the most widespread of the curlews, breeding across temperate Europe and Asia. In Europe, this species is often referred to just as the "curlew", and in Scotland known as the "whaup" in Scots.
This is the largest wader in its range, at 50–60 cm (20–24 in) in length, with an 89–106 cm (35–42 in) wingspan and a body weight of 410–1,360 g (0.90–3.00 lb).[2] It is mainly greyish brown, with a white back, greyish-blue legs and a very long curved bill. Males and females look identical, but the bill is longest in the adult female. It is generally not possible to recognize the sex of a single Eurasian curlew, or even several ones, as there is much variation; telling male and female of a mated pair apart is usually possible however.
The familiar call is a loud curloo-oo.
The only similar species over most of the curlew's range is the whimbrel (N. phaeopus). The whimbrel is smaller and has a shorter bill with a kink rather than a smooth curve. Flying curlews may also resemble bar-tailed godwits (Limosa lapponica) in their winter plumages; however, the latter have a smaller body, a slightly upturned beak, and legs that do not reach far beyond their tail tips. The Eurasian curlew's feet are longer, forming a conspicuous "point".
The curlew exists as a migratory species over most of its range, wintering in Africa, southern Europe and south Asia. Occasionally a vagrant individual reaches places far from its normal range, such as Nova Scotia[3] and the Marianas.[4][5] It is present all year in the milder climates of Ireland and the United Kingdom and its adjacent European coasts.

Color does not exist, but is created in our brains. In order to see color we need light, an object and our eyes. Color arises in the presence of light. Whenever light falls on an object, some of the rays are reflected by the object and the remainder is absorbed. The part that is reflected, determines the color.
Our eyes cannot perceive the light that is absorbed by an object. An apple, for example, absorbs all colors, except green. Because the green is reflected and is captured by our eyes, we see the green color of the apple.
The most ideal light for seeing color is diffuse daylight, when the sun is more or less behind the clouds and it is slightly rainy. This produces the most truthful colors.

Hello my Flickr friends!
Another Monday and another red day at Color My World Daily Group. And the theme at Macro Mondays is: on a coin. I must admit that this was by far the most rules exhaustive theme.
And since I’m collecting coins (yes, if you don’t know yet; I’m a hoarder … but I have other charming qualities which makes me an unique and lovable hoarder, at least it is what I like to think about myself…), I decided to go with an old 10 French francs coin. The main raison is that I’m very nostalgic about French francs era but also because they have a very beautiful words written on the edge, which makes them very interesting.
I choose the word “égalité”, which means equality. In my opinion it is a little bit ironic since money is about everything except equality, don’t you think ?…It is like this funeral home advertisement we had here in Montreal, few years ago, begging us to be careful and stay well during holidays … Do you feel the irony here?? But in the case of 10 French Francs it is a French national motto. The whole inscription is: Liberté, Fraternité, Égalité.
My main subject standing on my 10 Francs coin is my tiny red pencil (once again this is a part of another growing collection of tiny pencils... #hoarderlife). It is a few millimeters smaller than the coin diameter (2,5cm).
And since we all know by now that money, doesn't grow on trees (raise your hand if your parents were saying that exact phrase, it exists even in Polish !!!), I have to run to my office!! Another video meeting and then I will start my day of money making at home!
P.S I think that the phrase "money doesn't grow on trees" should be written on the edge of coins worldwide, as a motto for all kids to learn !!! Who is with me on that one ?
Have an amazing Monday my friends !!

I found this ghostly looking packing in my kitchen. Some of my friends say ghosts live in old houses. When I was a boy, I was dreaming to see a HARMLESS ghost.
I had a chance to live in a place where people believe a ghost (old lady) exists. Unfortunately, I did not see the ghost, but my friend saw.
I've never seen a real ghost in my life. Still, I do NOT say "Ghosts do not exist."

Kade and I explored Sol a few days ago and vowed to return to capture the beautiful photo opps that were waiting. I truly fell in love with this sim, it has such a draw to me starting with the fact that I wouldn't have even had to change WL as it uses my fav to begin with. It has a mixture of a water color feel to it yet it has a hazy feel that leaves you feeling like you've stepped back in time. Flowers? Got em. BIkes? Got those. Beautifully placed features? Mmhmm most definitely. Love the stone buildings, Light houses? Indeed. Character ? Yep .. in spades. All beautifully done ... and so much more. Cannot wait to snap and hoard more photos ..lol.
Thank you Kade for encouraging me to dig deeper and find shadows and lights .. to find ways to add depth ..I truly appreciate you!!!

One of Québec’s last great rivers, the Magpie is under imminent threat from mega damming and hydroelectric development.
Still relatively intact (in 2008 a controversial dam was constructed at the river mouth), it is considered to be among the top ten rivers in the world for white water recreational tourism according to National Geographic.

renacer.

Pride is simply your belief that you should exist as you are or as you believe you should be. Free yourself from the dogmatic view that before the church can save you, it has to curse you. We are all free to follow our hearts, and love who we want, that is a fundamental right.

Thousands of years ago ...
He lay ...
but not sleep dear ..
His face is staring ...
and his frozen smile as if to say ...
"we are at war ...
we're fighting against the sun ...
For proof that we once existed ... and are on this earth ... "
It's been thousands of years ...
he is lying ..
but not sleep dear ..
a hole in his chest was still burning, like his spirit ...
His face is staring at the sky ...
and his frozen smile seemed to say
"I'm still so young ..."
That day is a day without a hero ...
a day that no one can help him ...
and he made a story

The Abbey, Britain's largest monastic ruin, was founded in 1132 by thirteen Benedictine monks from St Mary's Abbey in York seeking a simpler life, who later became Cistercian monks. The abbey was named Fountains Abbey because of the springs of water that existed in the area.
Thomas Jefferson: "That democracy cannot long exist without enlightenment; That it cannot function without wise and honest officials; That talent and virtue, needed in a free society, should be educated regardless of wealth, birth or other accidental condition; That other children of the poor must thus be educated at common expence."

The artwork depicts a young girl swinging from a mallee eucalyptus tree gazing out over the endless vista that is Lake Tyrrell. A powerful Wedge Tail Eagle saws above the girl and emus run off into the night. For millennia this lake has existed, unchanged and untouched. It is a place of wonder and story. In this ever increasing busy day and age, people universally long for space and solitude.
Congratulations to Jacinda Ardern and the New Zealand Labour Party that was a very decisive win. Nice to think some countries can elect leaders with intelligence honesty and empathy. Makes a refreshing change from lazy narcissistic clowns who believe honesty is a sign of weakness
If you like Mute Swans get yourself to Abbotsbury they have rather a lot
Abbotsbury Swannery is the only managed colony of nesting mute swans in the world. It is situated near the village of Abbotsbury in Dorset, England, around the Fleet Lagoon. The Fleet, besides which the swannery sits, is the largest lagoon in Europe, and runs for about 8 miles along the Dorset coast. It is brackish and tidal, but sheltered by Chesil Beach, and is a RAMSAR site of international importance and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and has been a nature reserve since as early as 1393. The swannery is at its westerly extremity.
The colony can number over 600 swans with around 150 pairs. Written records of the swannery's existence go back to 1393 but it probably existed well before that, and is believed to have been set up by Benedictine monks in the eleventh century.
Today, there are around 600 swans. They are free-flying birds and could choose to nest anywhere, but are obviously attracted by the Fleet Lagoon. Visitors can wander on small paths among the various nests, sometimes experiencing the birds' territorial displays. The swannery is open to the public between March and the end of October,

Edgar Morin
A fortress at the site possibly already existed during the time of the Great Moravian Empire in the 9th century. From about 1055, Znojmo Castle served as the residence of a Přemyslid principality within the Bohemian March of Moravia and a strategic important outpost near the border with the Bavarian March of Austria in the south. Few years later (1101), Luitpold of Znojmo, Duke of Moravia, established the Ducal Rotunda of the Virgin Mary and St Catherine in this castle, later depicted by unique scene of genealogy Bohemian and Moravian Dukes of the Přemyslid dynasty and the castle was conquered and devastated by Duke Vladislaus II of Bohemia in 1145.
In 1190, Duke Conrad II of Bohemia founded the Premonstratensian Louka Abbey at Znojmo, which became the settlement area of German-speaking immigrants in the course of the medieval Ostsiedlung movement. The royal city of Znojmo was founded shortly before 1226 by King Ottokar I of Bohemia on the plains in front of the reconstructed castle. The town privileges were confirmed by King Rudolf I of Germany in 1278. On 9 December 1437 the Luxembourg emperor Sigismund died at Znojmo and lay in state for three days at the St. Nicholas Church, before his mortal remains were transferred to Nagyvárad (Oradea) in Hungary.
From the 19th Century, Znojmo is best known as the site for the Armistice of Znaim concluded there on 12 July 1809 during the Battle of Znaim, after the decisive 7 days earlier Battle of Wagram, between Emperor Napoleon and the archduke Charles.
From the 20th Century, it is also the (alleged) birthplace of Leopold Loyka, the driver of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand's car when Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo during 1914, an event which triggered the First World War. After the war, it was part of Czechoslovakia, except during the Nazi German occupation between 1938 and 1945 when it was part of Reichsgau Niederdonau. The German Citizens were expelled in 1945 according to the Beneš decrees.
The birthplace of the sculptor Hugo Lederer and writer Charles Sealsfield, it also has a special co-operation relation with Harderwijk, Netherlands.

There exists a stitch of land where the boreal pine forests of the north wage a creaky and millennia-old war against the deciduous forests of the south. Even as these massive trees sway, windswept, it's as though they're throwing punches that they mostly can't land. But their convergence brings sparks of magic. It is a habitat where both southern and northern species share air. Where Canada jays bounce on those feuding tree limbs in a friendly, quizzical manner. Ruffed grouse strut along the forest floor pecking for meals through quilts of snow threaded by pine needles. Pine martins climb the trees. And pine grosbeaks (Pinicola enucleator) like this handsome chap scratch out winter livings.
