I'm in Devon today and was woken up by Tawny Owls in the woods , and two Roe Deer in the front garden.I'm in exile so today's project is to sing Exile by Taylor Swift and Bon Iver with my granddaughter Lyra.A merry Christma story everyone and thanks for your friendship and support.
Since I only have one Thrawn head, I had to cheat a little and use photoshop to make this happen. I also did a little recolor of the flesh part of Exile Thrawn's vest.
Exile: Thorin hair, Thrawn head, Prince of Persia torso, Killer Frost arms, RO Rebel legs
Grand Admiral: Cosmic Boy hair, Thrawn head, Pirates epaulets, Thrawn body, TLNM Sushi Chef legs
Purist Star Wars minifigures
Comments and criticisms are always appreciated!

This is one I captured the day that Lockdown was announced. It's been sitting on my hard drive ever since. The caption is because I've had an earworm all day of the song by Enya especially the words "distant shores"... ..
Second release from a recent road trip to the Utah and Northern Arizona. On our first evening in the state an intense wave of virga swept across this eroded stretch of alien terrain. Incredibly inspiring place to spend a few days. As always seems to be the case with inspirational locations I left with many more ideas than I could ever capture well in such a brief period of time. A return trip is most definitely in order. This particular overlook (and this area in general) will always be synonymous with Guy Tal’s phenomenal body of work. More images as well as a trip report can be found on my website: www.michaelbollino.com/blog/

Inside the Statue of Liberty there is a plaque that is engraved with the poem "The New Colossus," by Emma Lazarus. It reads:
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
It's a powerful poem, and a reminder that immigrants are the ones who built this country. It's a shame that the sentiments of this poem, and the symbolism of the Statue of Liberty, are being ignored, degraded and insulted by our current government.
This is my first official entry for Happy Bokeh Wednesday. Do I need to fill out paperwork? Is there a submission fee? I don't need to qualify in an earlier round or something, right?
Man, I get nervous during competitions. I hope I win HBW! I hope I get the... HBWie or the Bokeh Buddy or whatever the award is!
Wooooo!

My grandfather arrived at Ellis Island from Italy in 1904. Whenever I read Emma Lazarus' poem, The New Colossus, I am always moved.

The defaced painting in the background originally said "Good Girls Go to Heaven, Bad Girls Go Everywhere" I defaced it even further to "Good Girls Give Oral, Bad Girls Do Everything".
Well one fine day, I suddenly lost access to flickr. I have been trying for the past 3 months virtually writing to everyone including Santa! Finally the kind folks at flickr helped me out to detach my earlier yahoo Id and associate it with a new one. So if this happens to any of you (although I really wouldnt wish this happens to even my enemies!) dont even bother writing to yahoo or calling them. All I ever got back from yahoo is automated responses and the customer care just said to deal with it and get a new account already!
But the folks at flickr are a lot helpful and really want to solve the problem instead of trying to just fill in the spaces with stupid bot messages! That way it is good to be back after a while. So I will definitely try and catch up with all of you. I did mention my problem to a few of you and Im glad I heard back from you and it really helped me in getting over this problem!I have been set back a couple of months in terms of my pics and I will upload them as and when I can.
Coming to this one, this is the famed Sgwd yr Eira (translated from Welsh as 'fall of snow') waterfalls on the Afon Hepste river. We managed all of the waterfalls in the Ystradfellte area. This is popularly known as the 'Waterfall Country' mostly because this region of gorges is riddled with cascades and small streams. It gives you plenty of photo ops. The day we got here it had been raining all week and that explains the color of the water laden with debris and rocks. This walk takes about 6-7 hours to complete and it is quite a worthwhile walk.
Thanks for viewing and have a nice day everyone!
