Brown Hare, Norfolk.
Am image taken in lovely morning light in February.
I have few shots from this encounter, one of my favourites so far,
Grey or English Partridge.
I managed a few shots of this partridge recently while laying down photographing hares.
Bearded Tit, Norfolk
For me, this is the best time of the year to photograph these splendid little birds.
The birds stand out more when the reedbed has lost the greenery that accompanies it most of the year.
There were not that many about, those which were, being flighty and staying lower in the reeds.
Grateful to get a few images when they did show.
Brown Hare Leveret, Norfolk.
Another recent shot of this young hare stretching towards the evening sunshine.
Barn Owl, Norfolk.
A throwback to November last year of this Barn Owl hunting in the evening sunshine.
No confirmed sightings of her yet this year. Live in hope.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
Surprisingly I managed to drag my unfit body along the track towards this hare as it was munching supper. Every time it heard my movement it would pop its head and ears up. Once it was back down feeding, I would crawl another yard. It was stop/start until I was in a good shooting range.
Not an original pose but love being low and using the long grass to my advantage.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
A simple portrait but very happy with it. Came close and the morning light was lovely.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
If you have dropped by to see something other than Hare images then you will be a bit disappointed.
While I have photographed other subjects, including at least 5 barn owls this year, none of the images are to any standard,
I have managed a few action shots but my best boxing images have the hares with back towards me rather than side on. I will just keep on plugging away once the rain ceases.
Barn Owl, Norfolk
This bird is certainly a gift that keeps giving.
I was surprised to see her out much earlier in the afternoon than normal. The light was a bit harsh but the Autumnal leaves on the trees softened it as came through to give a backlight effect.

Brown Hare Leveret, Norfolk.
A lovely young hare in the glow of the evening Golden Hour which have been very few and far between lately.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
A close up of this hare, not blowing a raspberry but using his tongue to scent. Always good to get something slightly different from the standard pose.
Brown Hares, Norfolk.
"Welcome to The Chase. The Chase is on"
Approaching the last week in January and seeing sporadic chases occurring briefly in various areas.
Plenty of patience is needed and luck plays a great part with these chases for them to come close enough for me to obtain the results I would like, with the pinnacle being the boxing shot.
Barn Owl, Norfolk.
A close up fly by of this lovely female barn owl after she had just captured a vole.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
A cold day spent in the field but a good selection of hare shots eventually including this running hare portrait.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
My first proper head on shot of this year, a shot I favour.
Some interaction shots is what I am ultimately after but can never refuse what is served up. The joys of wildlife photography.
Brown Hare, Norfolk
Another hare image. I feel at the moment I am just a "one trick pony" with regards to getting nothing but hare images. I did see a stoat this evening but unfortunately went in the opposite direction. It is unusual to go so long without photographing other subjects even when targeting hares.
Barn Owl, Norfolk
An image from November last year of this lady with a meal.
Still no confirmed sightings of her this year but others in the same area.
Brown Hare, Norfolk.
A new location for this year recently.
The morning light was just starting to shine through and the frost still remained.
An area which I done well in last year and just up the road from work when I finish a nightshift.

European Otter, Norfolk
Only the second time I have managed to photograph an otter.
While setting my camera up for the Kingfisher I heard movement from the reeds and was expecting a Muntjac to appear for a drink. Surprised to see it was an otter and I managed a few shots before it disappeared again.
