The sound of the gramophone rolled out of the speakers. Rich, warm and oddly comforting. Wave forms frozen in time. Not in digital 1s and 0s, like with compact discs, cassette tapes or digital files on a computer, but in analogue physical grooves etched into the actual surface of a record.
The sound is created solely by vibrations and does not require any electrical setups. The gramophone would store sound in reverse by playing music with the horn, and the sounds would be consolidated in the diaphragm.

Ballet Coppélia
Greek national opera
In Edward Klug's new choreography, the terrifying element of a living doll is set against the backdrop of an ideal world. The distinguished choreographer creates a mysterious, strange world, through the magic of beauty. Klug creates the new version of Coppélia through the kinesthetic code of modern dance, complementing Leo Delib's lively original score with new compositions by Milko Lazar.
Music. For the initial conception of the two-act ballet, the music was composed by the Frenchman Léo Delibes (1836-1891). The Slovenian composer Milko Lazar (b. 1965) also composed music especially for the new choreography by Eduard Klug.
