Durante la primavera se producen un número importante de emergencias de Orthetrum cancellatum y tengo la suerte de poder disfrutarlas.
Es una mezcla de magia y drama, pues en ese momento el individuo emergente es indefenso y está expuesto a ataques de sus depredadores.
En la foto una hembra terminando de estirar las alas, cuando lo consiga las desplegará y una vez secas iniciará el primer vuelo.

A significant number of Orthetrum cancellatum emergencies occur during the spring and I am fortunate to be able to enjoy them.
It is a mixture of magic and drama, since at that moment the emerging individual is defenseless and is exposed to attacks from their predators.
In the photo a female finishing stretching her wings, when she succeeds she will unfold them and once they are dry she will start the first flight.

Esta hembra joven cumple con los patrones de sinaiticum pero esas barras negras tan grandes como dibujos laterales del abdomen me llaman la atención.
Es la primera vez que lo veo y no tengo explicación para ello.

This young female complies with the sinaiticum patterns but those black bars as large as lateral drawings of the abdomen catch my attention.

Esta hembra, joven, cazaba para alimentarse e iba y venía a ese posadero. Degustando un bocado le pude hacer esta foto.

También inconfundibles resultan los machos adultos de Brachythemis impartita, tanto por su tamaño, relativamente pequeño, su color oscuro en el cuerpo y en las manchas de las alas, como por ser una especie con posados en el suelo y vuelos muy a ras del mismo.

Also unmistakable are the adult males of Brachythemis impartita, both for their relatively small size, their dark color on the body and the spots on their wings, and for being a species with perched on the ground and flights very close to it.

En el mismo soporte que la foto foto anterior, dos horas después, encontré a este macho de Trithemis annulata que no sé si es el mismo, tonos muy parecidos tiene, y se dejó hacer cenitales.

Cuando hice esta foto eran las 7'45 a.m. y los Enallagmas del Coto estaban muy activos siendo la temperatura, en esos momentos, de 12º aunque el sol calentaba.

Los individuos de Calopteryx xanthostoma, tanto machos como hembras, son muy atractivos, en este caso se trata de una hembra, además obtenida a las 7 de la tarde y rodeado de amigos que es algo que no tiene precio.
