Lo que vemos es un macho joven de Crocothemis erythraea que en su estado adulto será totalmente rojo.
Encontramos un humedal ocasional en terreno salobre y esta especie ya lo había ocupado, es destacable su gran facilidad de adaptación a distintos habitats en determinadas condiciones.

Tanto machos como hembras tienen la misma apariencia de color pero los machos son más fáciles de ver, patrullan espacios determinados y parece que hagan el mismo recorrido. Solo hay que esperar que se pose y acercarte con sigilo.

La experiencia de este año en la Puça con Cordulegaster boltonii ha sido increíble. Iba con la seguridad de poder fotografiarlo, algo impensable años anteriores en otros parajes.
