“I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who’s ever lived: I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.” - Nicholas Sparks

For where all love is, the speaking is unnecessary. It is all. It is undying. And it is enough.

~ Diana Gabaldon, Outlander

I bet could write a sequel to this....or another since I'm sure someone must have already :D

I took this snap as an expirement with the framing of the pose while sorting through poses I'd not seen, I love this pose, the attitude in it, and since I took this I've been trying to use it in one of my recent shots, but each time I keep coming back to look at this for inspiration. So I've given up and decided just to share it, off centre and all, I think it kinda works.

Plus, here's a song for you, what I was listing to while uploading this :) enjoy youtu.be/8j741TUIET0

.....inspired by the strobe/speedlight images of Eddy Summers www.flickr.com/photos/95230640@N04/

this was my first try with an umbrella and speedlight using the Invisible Black Backdrop technique as described by

At some point in life, the world's beauty

becomes enough.

I did quite a bit of rambling in this post. Moral to the story...be kind to yourself, and each other!

Strangely enough, this is at Wendy's, the fast food franchise, on a rare visit.

Enough food for all the prairie dogs, but still they want the same piece........

Er is genoeg voor iedereen, maar ze willen toch allebei dit stukje hebben.

One from last spring.

I took this image using my car as a hide. The Curlew was standing close to the road and was relaxed enough to start cleaning and scratching itself infront of me.

Taken in the Peak District.

The first slushfall of the season hit Sand Patch overnight, and enough of it lingers today to make an early winter scene. This is train M332-14, featuring eight units on the head end, eastbound near Mance.

The matriarch on the left is giving all the signs that we in our jeep are close enough to her daughter and babe. She let out a loud trumpet and stepped towards us and I shifted into reverse and headed out of there. Then appeared a whole family as they continued their peaceful browsing. That would be 50 to 200 kilos per day (at least!).

Tribute to my fav movie "The Greatest Showman", song "Never Enough".

The sound of a robin chirping in winter is a good sign, say scientists. It means the bird has built up enough fat reserves to survive the cold nights and has enough energy left to defend its territory. The bird traditionally sings in spring to attract a mate but in winter, when food is short, it faces a dilemma.

26th October 2021 :

We've been bombed in the garden with Sweet chestnuts. Sadly none big enough to roast. The Jackdaws, I think, fly over with them and accidentally drop them, but don't seem to fly down to collect them up again.

Offline ..., having an evening watching TV.

A friend asked me: "After all these Safaris you made, what are you looking for this time? What is it you like to snap this time?"

My answer was: "Honey Badger! We´v seen them often, but I never was able to get a clean shot of one of those guys. They always tend to disappear in the grass only allowing blurry butt shots."

As if someone had listened, luck was on our side and we had this lovely badger in hunting mode for several minutes. The critter never stood still but I was lucky enough to get some nice shots, at least.

When it became dark enough, and the camera settings were sensitive enough, light was getting picked up on the sea stacks. I couldn't tell if it was all moonlight, or whether there was a component of light from the town of La Push.

I did a hike up this face last summer and found 1/2 way up it was not really for me. Got to the top and quickly decided "once" was more than enough.

Driving the other day just about sunset I had to stop safely. I was enjoying the quiet as darkness was setting in. I was concerned about shooting some of the beauty I was taking in. Well as it turned out I had “Just Enough Time” to get the kind of feel I wanted from this sunset. Thanks for viewing my work. Gratitude and Kindness are always worth sharing especially at sunset as the day turns to night.

The solstice full moon sets as the sun rises, as if the full eclipse was not enough of a show for one night...

Redid my small home, with the help of a friend.

the neglected vibe i love so much reminded me of this song ..

"hold me while you wait

I wish that I was good enough

If only I could wake you up

My love, my love, my love, my love

Won't you stay a while?

I wish you'd cared a little more

I wish you'd told me this before

My love, my love, my love, my love

Won't you stay a while?"

Some people's thoughts make noise echoing so loudly into my ears. Take my hand I am here

The River Ver in Hertfordshire is a chalk stream and has cut, modestly I should say, into the surrounding limestone - just enough to create a path through the Chiltern Hills, and enough for the Romans to build a road here connecting London with the North. The history of the village of Markyate is entirely shaped by this road (and its successors) and all the functions relating to the transport of goods and people. Some houses such as these ones in the foreground have crept up the flanks of the river ("Pickford Hill" in this case), but most stayed down in the valley ground. Up on the hills you would find farms and agriculture. It is also true that small industries have moved in - together with lots of interesting people who decided to leave the big city.
