Bloomsbury Tavern (Art photo)

Holborn District, West End

London, England, U.K.

The Bloomsbury is a Shepherd Neame Brewery pub. Shepherd Neame calls itself the oldest Brewery in England since 1698. This interesting looking building was right down the street from my hotel in London.

If you squint hard enough, it almost seems as if you've gone back in time a couple hundred years!

The other pier, I thought it deserved some attention as well :)

Heading towards the sunset is a football belonging to this group of children, you can see it to the right of the boy who is on the left in this shot. All manner of plans were hatched, lots of running up and down the jetty, long sticks fetched (way too short in length!!) and in the end one child shouted 'I know, find someone with a boat!'. They did this, a kindly soul helped and the ball was retrieved. Happy end to a lovely day :))

9 PM : To discover some little rivers

A majestic view of the Scafell Range of peaks taken from the opposite side of the Esk Valley.

It was a quick dash after a round of golf at Lancaster. The conditions looked great, so I went for it after lunch. I was hoping for a bit more snow on the peaks, but that seemed to have disappeared from the weekend. I think this has to be one of the best views in England.

A wonderful evening to be out. I even caught an epic sunset with the Isle of Man clearly visible when I stood at the top of Hardknott Pass later! I may post that at some point.

Cannot beat a bit of sunshine, a solo tree in silhouette, a sheep with her two lambs, and a bit of cloud action and light spots all in one image :-)

Thought to repost this photo. It brings nice memories of places I will probably never see again.

Arlington row. Bibury, Gloucestershire England. The picturesque Arlington Row was built in the 14th century as a monastic wool store and converted into weavers’ cottages in the 17th century. Located in the village of Bibury, on the banks of the River Coln, full of traditional stone cottages and often described as 'the most beautiful village in England.
