Et puis, il y'a des jours où toutes les conditions sont réunies:
-Un affût parfaitement intégré à l'environnement car préparé des mois en amont;
-Un vent sur zone qui nous vient de face;
-Des vêtements de camouflage isolés dans une boîte avec des feuilles et de la mousse, durant plusieurs semaines afin que l'odeur de la forêt et la notre ne fasse qu'1;
-Un repérage comportemental des animaux quelques jours auparavant;
-Une jolie lumière;
-Un environnement forestier que nous n'échangerions pour rien au monde;
-Mais surtout de la patience, de la persévérance et de la passion, qui nous animent au quotidien;
Il n'y a pas besoin d'en écrire un roman… Nous sommes remplis de gratitude, ce moment rêvé depuis des mois se déroule ENFIN !!!!😍
En espérant que, TOI, Grand Cerf, tu ne tombes pas sous les balles demain car nous ne te remercierons jamais assez pour les émotions que tu nous as procuré !!!

Pride leaders pay a heavy price for their position as is evident from this battle-scarred warrior. I watched an older lion, too weak to join the food fest after a kill, still play a dominant role when it came time to bring down a big bull buffalo. It still went out to challenge another younger and stronger looking male encroaching on the pride’s turf. The photographer part of me wanted to photograph a fight but my tender side wanted the pride leader to live to fight another day. There’s nothing like lions to bring out emotions. One more picture before the new year.
This one was taken at exactly the same place as the previous picture as it was on a tripod. The difference between the two is that this one is at a faster shutter speed and also the light and the clouds have changed which gives it a far more dramatic look. I think out of the two pictures this is my favourite as I love the detail and the colour as they are so more intense. I hope you all like what you see.
