A shrouded apartment building nearing its completion in Katendrecht, on the part of the quarter where once the Hanno container terminal was located.
I was by the way very pleasantly surprised here by the resolving power of the old Tamron zoom lens, once ('90s) designed for analog dSLR's.

Om ervaring op te doen met dubbeldeksmaterieel heeft de NS in oktober 1980 proefritten in de reizigersdienst gereden met dubbeldeks voorstadsmaterieel van de SNCF. De trein maakte elke dag een retourrit in de spits van Amersfoort naar Amsterdam CS op een tijdstip dat een goede foto maken vrijwel onmogelijk was. De overbrengingsrit terug naar Frankrijk reed echter wel perfect voor het licht, waarbij deze foto is gemaakt.
In order to obtain experience with double-decker rolling stock, the NS has tested in October 1980 a set of SNCF double-deck suburban coaches. The train made a return trip every day during rush hour from Amersfoort to Amsterdam CS at a time when taking a good photo was almost impossible. However, the transfer ride back to France offered a good possibilty to make a decent picture of this train.
Um Erfahrungen mit Doppelstockwagen zu sammeln, hat die NS im Oktober 1980 SNCF-Doppelstocktwagen für dev Vorortsverkehr getestet. Der Zug fuhr jeden Tag während der Hauptverkehrszeit von Amersfoort nach Amsterdam CS und zurück, zu einer Zeit, an dem ein gutes Foto fast unmöglich zu schaffen war. Die Überführungsfahrt zurück nach Frankreich bot jedoch eine gute Möglichkeit, ein anständiges Bild von diesem Zug zu machen.
Afin d'acquérir de l'expérience avec le matériel roulant à deux niveaux, la NS a testé en octobre 1980 une rame de voitures de banlieue à deux niveaux de la SNCF. Le train faisait chaque jour un aller-retour aux heures de pointe d'Amersfoort à Amsterdam CS à une horaire qui ne permette pas de prendere une bonne photo. Cependant, le trajet de retour à la France offrait une bonne possibilité de faire une image décente de ce train.
Para adquirir experiencia con material rodante de dos niveles, la NS probó en octubre de 1980 un tren de vagones suburbanos de dos niveles SNCF. El tren hizo un viaje de ida y vuelta todos los días durante las horas pico desde Amersfoort a Amsterdam CS en un horario que no permitía una buena foto. Sin embargo, el viaje de regreso a Francia ofreció una buena oportunidad para obtener una imagen decente de este tren.
Per acquisire esperienza con il materiale rotabile a due livelli, la NS ha testato nell'ottobre 1980 un treno di carrozze suburbane a due livelli della SNCF. Il treno effettuava un viaggio di andata e ritorno ogni giorno nelle ore di punta da Amersfoort ad Amsterdam CS con un orario che non consentiva una buona foto. Tuttavia, il viaggio di ritorno in Francia ha offerto una buona opportunità per avere un'immagine decente di questo treno.
A fim de ganhar experiência com material rodante de dois níveis, o NS testou em outubro de 1980 um comboio de carruagens suburbanos de dois níveis da SNCF. O comboio fazia uma viagem de ida e volta todos os dias na hora do rush de Amersfoort para Amsterdam CS em um horário que não permitia uma boa foto. No entanto, a viagem de volta à França ofereceu uma boa oportunidade para obter uma imagem decente deste comboio.

A superb lp mini break with Quornflake, Mart and Phill in Llanberis. The slate quarry there is insanely massive with far too much to shoot in one evening. The day was spent reccying all the nooks and crannies which in itself was a mammoth task. When night fell we headed to our first spot and got cracking.
It was was great to get out with you all chaps and quality to finally meet Mart.
I think we will return here as this really doesn't do the location any justice and there is so much left to shoot including the most insane but hard to access spot I've ever seen. Here's to next time.

Pholiota squarrosa, commonly known as the shaggy scalycap, the shaggy Pholiota, or the scaly Pholiota, is a species of mushroom in the family Strophariaceae. Common in North America and Europe, it is often an opportunistic parasite, and has a wide range of hosts among deciduous trees, although it can also infect conifers. It can also live as a saprobe, deriving nutrients from decomposing wood. The mushroom is typically found growing in clusters at the base of trees and stumps. Both the cap and the stem are covered in small, pointed scales that are pointed downward and backward. The crowded gills are yellowish, then later rust-brown. The mushroom has an odor that, depending on the author, has been described as resembling garlic, lemon, radish, onion, or skunk. It has a strong taste, resembling radishes. Once thought to be edible, it is now considered and known to be poisonous, especially if consumed in combination with alcohol. The mushroom contains unique chemicals thought to help it infect plants by neutralizing defensive responses employed by them. The very similar P. squarrosoides differs in having a paler cap that is sticky between the scales, and smaller spores.

Look at the folds, ribs and spines of this huge water lily pad!
It is the largest member of the water lily family. Its pads are up to 8 feet across and the large white blooms have a sweet pineapple-like scent on the first day. And turn pink/purple the second day after being fertilized. It is pollinated by beetles that are attracted to its scent when it opens the first night. Closing up the next day, beetles are trapped inside when the plant changes from female to male and produces pollen. When the red-purple flower opens the second night, the beetle, coated in pollen, is released and flies to pollinate the next white flower.
A submerged stalk up to 26 feet long embeds itself in the lake or river bottom. Air trapped between the ribs keeps it afloat. Sharp spines on the underside protect it from herbivorous fish. This plant can grow up to 20 inches a day!
The Giant Amazonica grows best in the quiet backwaters of large rivers. In tropical zones where water temperatures remain above 75 degrees, it can remain a perennial. Suitable for large water gardens only, it can be grown as an annual with no winter protection.
Seeds can be started indoors in containers and placed outside in water when temperatures rise above 80 degrees. Outdoor planting can be done when the water temperatures have reached a minimum of 70 degrees. Plants grown in containers can be placed in still waters. In areas that experience cooler winters, containers can be removed and stored in a greenhouse.
